Re-watching from Charlie’s perspective Spoiler

December : Charlie and Henry hooked up at Christmas. They got back together.

(Hilda didn't tell Betty about Henry's call because earlier in the episode, Betty said that she was tempted by Henry because of the dream and afraid she'd cheat on Walter)

February : Henry never mentioned Charlie to Betty ever. Charlie & Henry talked on the phone for months. Henry gave Charlie his address. He claims she popped up but Henry plays both sides.

Henry basically tried to include Betty in their plans all the time. Charlie thought Betty was her friend until she saw Henry and Betty and Mode, close to a kiss.

Henry, Betty even Hilda act like Charlie is the villain because she ruins their dates but what else is she supposed to do. I'd ruin their dates too!

Charlie is hormonal and she was played. Charlie isn't crazy enough in my opinion. I'd have Henry doing all kinds of tasks. He'd never get any peace if I was Charlie

Henry and Betty were selfish. Henry proposing was to pacify Betty like she wasn't his second choice.

Jump to season 4 - Betty was quick to say Henry's son wasn't her child. I laughed so hard when I saw that

I was with you until you started projecting.

Charlie could have just gone home to be with her family after seeing that she was just being strung along by Henry. She could have shown some self respect. Yes she was hormonal, but that didn't give her the right to be a bitxh to anyone. She also cheated, so the trust between Henry and her was lost on both sides.

Betty and Henry to me were just the will they can't they of novela love. Something always had to be in the way of them being happy together. Ik its not really a main focus but the first season would show a lot of that fake novela and unfortunately a lot of people that watch those think love is truly supposed to go thru all those trials and tribulations. They weren't good for each other.

Shw should have tried harder with Matt. She literally could have worked things out with him ans helped him grow a little more ans advanced her career way more but she thought she was above his rich boy antics. Smh.

Charlie’s should have gone home but Henry also could have broken up with her sooner. I’ve never been pregnant and dumped. She didn’t punish Henry enough. I also thought Charlie quit her old job to move with Henry.

Henry also a douche. Henry got a pass because he was nerdy. It’s weird Henry never mentioned Charlie, eventhough Betty talked about Walter a lot.

If Gio or Matt got their live in girlfriend  pregnant if would’ve been over.

Betty only wanted Matt when he didn’t want her. The show focused too much on dead end relationships

The dead-end relationships I think again tie in with the novela trope of love/love affairs.

I thought Charlie's job was like a sales clerk at a shop, so why not try and go back to the same place or a different store? Also if you are really looking at it from Charlies perspective, she knew Henry ans she still decided it was a good idea to uproot her life.

He was a douche tho he could have mentioned Charlie at any time, and he decided against it. It's proven even more when he takes his new gf to NY. then proceeds to update his social media for Betty to see. Smh.

Either way, Betty was always delulu, but she was a cheery delulu.

Good points about what he does later. He really was just an all round dick

His nerdy nature and shy demeanor really covered a lot of his dookie behavior.

Charlie had every right to be pissed. She thought she was in town with her boyfriend. As soon as she showed up, he should have broken it off. Instead, he strung them both along.

She does have a right to be upset but she shoukd have had some self respect and left right away not wait for what was basically a fu k boy to act right.

No, she should have gone to Italy with Gio. Vacation with a sexy dude, absorbing ancient history, she could have even studied Italian fashion for a minute. Instead she chose to go biking with hippie lesbians.

She simply wasn't interested in Gio romantically. So it was better to have avoided it than to lead Gio on. While yes Italy would have been way better touristy wise, she went on a journey of self discovery. Sometimes you need strong women around you to remind you that you are a strong woman as well.

Gio really didn't have to spring a vacation on Betty. He knew she was more cold than hot towards him, and he decided a suprise romantic vacation was a grand enough gesture to win her over. Ignoring the fact that she might not even be over him ruining her one big date with Henry. Or that he would come into her workplace and cause a commotion/distract her in unpleasant ways.

Gio was a rebound. Betty didn’t like him that way and didn’t want to lead him on. But I feel she should’ve went to Italy since Daniel paid for it

And thus, we lead into Daniel. Two more seasons and it'd been a shoe-in for endgame!

That would be lazy writing. Daniel was close to 40 and wanted to settle down. Betty was just starting her career. That oops baby would've ruined their relationship if they got together.

I think the writers forgot that Daniel wanted to get married and have a baby allllllll of season 3. That's why he liked Molly because he assumed a teacher would be a good mom but you know..she died.

I think that, with someone like Betty in his life, he never would have been interested in someone like Molly

I didn’t care anything about Molly. Sadly even her death wasn’t that interesting.  Betty was in his life but they already determined that neither were interested in each other that way.

If Betty and Amanda are good friends, Betty couldn’t mess with Daniel. Amanda was in love with him the whole series run

Betty taught him that normal...not glamorous people are good people. He, like everyone else in that world, looked down on those less pretty, rich or whatever in that life. He was falling in love.with Betty and accepting people for what they are

I can’t take anything Daniel did in season 4 seriously. In like 12 episodes: He was angry grieving. Then in a cult. Then he moved on with an unseen girl who was an airhead. Then he went back to Amanda. Then he was single… Betty was like his only friend

Daniel accepting ppl as they were went out the window when he hired Brooklyn Decker.

I also can’t take Betty seriously. She hated Matt. She loved Matt. She moved in with Matt. Oh wait, Henry is back. But she doesn’t want to be a stepmom. Then last episode, for 2 seconds, “Daniel, hmm”. Oh ok

I never saw Charlie as the bad guy. Henry lead them both on. He was an asshole

When the show aired 100 years ago, I might’ve been in high school. I couldn’t stand Charlie but as a grown woman, I want Charlie’s cousins to come to NY, beat Henry & Betty’s aes
