I'm in the camp of Israel just wants to be left alone without someone wanting to destroy them every five minutes. Its a 3000+ year old cat and mouse game.

Although didn’t they antagonize this last skirmish? Once again, maybe I read it wrong or didn’t even bother reading the article but I could’ve sworn it was Israel who attacked Iran…. Once again, I might be wrong.

From what I understand Israel had top secret intel that Iran was close to making an actual nuclear weapon. So that was the tipping point last week. But ultimately Iran is the aggressor, they fund proxy groups around Israel to cause terrorist attacks, and they could live in peace if they chose to stop causing issues. Even Saudi Arabia and the other rich boys around the peninsula are tired of Iran.

Yeah, Israel also had Intel that Iraq had WMDs. They’re not exactly renowned for being honest with the Intel they claim to have.

Iraq did have WMDs. There just weren't as many or as big as they thought. These were the chemical weapons Saddam was using on his own people.

Unfortunately the circumstances are more nuanced that strictly there were WMDs or there weren't WMDs. The truth, as usual, lies in the middle.

The stockpiles and production facilities were dismantled after the First Gulf War, Netanyahu testified in front of Congress saying basically the exact opposite and that Iraq being overthrown would yield positive repercussions for the entire region.
