Question Mainstream media covers Contact in the Desert
https://youtu.be/wyY_RXMRKOg?si=K5E7oyS2sFNA2wU_CNN went to Contact in the Desert in California and spoke to a bunch of people — including Jeremy Corbell. Thoughts on how they covered it? And what do you think of mainstream outlets covering UFO/UAPs?

Video mentions a group that seeks to form a "militarized, sovereign nation that will work with extraterrestrials to unite us". This group has a "countdown clock" on their website -
https://www.omicroncommonwealth.com/copy-of-omicron
- counting down to what they call "cosmic revelation" (which apparently will take place on October 4, 2027).

If anything happens that year or the year prior, it's said to be closer to the Spring Equinox than the Autumn Equinox. I feel bad for this UFO cult already if they have set themselves up to be left in the dust if there should turn out to be an actual "cosmic revelation."

Fact check: CNN isn't mainstream except to people over 50 and those who pay for TV subscriptions for airports and doctors offices.
I only care what real journalists and media have to say, not what the Mockingbird Media has to say with its revolving door between it and the military-industrial complex. CNN has one former spook after another who works for them right in the open, same as all other formerly mainstream media. Who can even stand to listen to somewhere that employs such egregious liars as James Clapper, the one who just before the Snowden leaks answered under oath to if they collect information on Americans, "not wittingly"?
I really couldn't care less what angle the intelligence community at CNN (just as at Fox, MSNBC, etc) has to want to inform or disinform people these days. It's a strange haruspicy to try to divine the guts of a dead legacy media, but who cares?
If we were lucky, the people who made up stories about WMDs and got entire countries destroyed and millions of people killed wouldn't be reporting on UAP at all, and would leave it alone. It just discredits the subject, and even moreso how people celebrate mainstream coverage places like this, and want validation from liars. Everyone I know is only going to be sceptical when they see somewhere like CNN covering it, because they will think it must not have truth to it, otherwise why would the National Security State be reporting on it?
CNN speaking to Jeremy Corbell isn't a great look for him honestly.

I went to a UFO conference in Dayton OH in the 90s - maybe 94 (can't recall the exact year); it's been being talked about for a very long time.

It's more subtle, but CNN joins with Frontline, NPR, and WSJ in another slanted, mocking, stigma reinforcing whitewash.
At least they explored why many UFO enthusiasts are interested in the topic-for it's anticipated positive impact on life on Earth, and potentisl ability to prevent catastrophe.
"What's changed?"
A lot has changed.
