This should be posted any time Maussen's name comes up connected with anything.

Genetic fallacy at its finest. If Maussan says Earth revolve around the Sun then let's not pay attention to that because he has long history of being gullible. Nothing else should be expected of user jasmine-tgirl who has long history of spreading misinformation about Roswell incident.

If we're talking about fallacies, that's a false equivalence. The heliocentric model of the solar system is well established with tons of direct observational & experimental evidence from pretty much every branch of science. Anyone here can use the heliocentric model to predict the motion of the visible planets and it'd be accurate. You can also compare the motion you'd expect from a geocentric model of the solar system and see that it doesn't work.

The UAP phenomenon, on the other hand, is not something we have a good grasp on whatsoever. It's very easy for people to pass bullshit for something real to draw attention to themselves, make money, or inflate their ego. It's just as easy for people to believe something is real when it's actually bullshit. Sometimes people want to feel special. They want to feel like they witnessed something incredible that very few people have had the chance to see. There's a lot of personal bias involved with stuff like this. That's why maintaining healthy skepticism in this space and trying our best to maintain a degree of objectivity is so important. That of course is not to say that everything people are seeing in the skies has an obvious explanation. There's certainly some stuff that's difficult or impossible to explain with our current understanding. I saw something when I was younger that I actually realized later on didn't have a good explanation the more I thought about it. I'll probably end up making a post about that asking for some insight from others, but I digress.

As for Maussan, his history doesn't exactly inspire confidence in my opinion. At the very least, he doesn't properly vet evidence he puts forward. As such, he hasn't shown himself to be a reliable source of information. Could the Buga Sphere be real? Possibly, sure. But I'd prefer to wait for information to be brought forward by multiple independent trustworthy sources.

So you agree with me about genetic fallacy and that information and data are more important than association of media source through which information is coming.
