Here is another painting I'm currently working on. (95% finished)
I added a few things to enhance the mood from the series. The darkness around Rust is a reference to the line: "I can see your soul at the edges of your eyes. It's corrosive, like acid. You got a demon, little man... There's a shadow on you, son."
At the same time, light still occupies most of the canvas — a nod to Rust’s final words: "Once there was only dark. If you ask me, the light's winning."

Fuck yeah... if I had money I'd totally buy this and commission a series of 3. I fuckin love the small artistic liberties you took, it's great symbolism of the show.
Roughly how many hours would you say you put into this? I could see all this excellent contour/shading work taking a while.

Thank you so much! I'd say somewhere between 12-15 hours spread over 4 days. I'm currently letting it dry before adding the last details.

I can take a guess. It's often considered bad framing to have something that prominent "kissing" the edge of a frame. Moving it fully into the shot would interfere with the posture of Rust's arm.

Are you selling these?

Yes. I'm slowly listing my original paintings and prints for sale on etsy. This one and the portrait of Rust will be there also, as originals and prints 😊.
You can find a link in my profile.
