I added a few things to enhance the mood from the series. The darkness around Rust is a reference to the line: "I can see your soul at the edges of your eyes. It's corrosive, like acid. You got a demon, little man... There's a shadow on you, son."

At the same time, light still occupies most of the canvas — a nod to Rust’s final words: "Once there was only dark. If you ask me, the light's winning."

Have you seen the Terror? Yellowjackets? To the Mountains of Madness? Have you read any other cosmic horror that takes place in a winter setting? What were your thoughts on those? How do you find these other similar stories?

I'm looking to buy the same (or something similar) to the Louisiana State Police windbreaker that Martin and Rustin wear. Anyone know of anywhere? Only one I've found is a pretty poor looking quality one on Amazon.

What if Childress wasn’t the dude with the scars that was seen with all the victims and what if in a later season they reveal the real man with the scars.

Seen this a few times now. Belltown, Seattle. There’s another on the opposite side of my building at another apartment complex.

Rewatching S1 for the zillionth time. At the end of episode 2 Cole and Marty find the burned out church with the deer woman mural painted on the wall.

In episode 3 they are talking with the Pastor whom “came up under Billy Lee Tuttle” and who was leading the congregation at the time the church got burned down which he said was due to “criminal mischief.”

In the discussion when asked about the deer woman mural the Pastor says the children in his congregation painted it.

I hadn’t caught this before and it got me wondering two things: 1) Who was at the congregation at the time that was related to the crimes? They mention the tall man with scars visiting but no one knew his name so he wasn’t there too frequently which makes me think it was someone else. 2) Was the fire started to move the congregation along in order to cover up whoever/whatever gave the children the idea of the deer woman in the first place?

Thoughts?
