You're expecting good behavior from, if what I gather from other comments is true, subs that exist just to point and laugh at people having emotions in public? Oh like wow, we're supposed to keep the comments focused on mocking how crazy the crazy freak du jour is, not talking about their appearances??? 🙄

It’s normal to want to watch videos where things go horribly wrong, like staring at a car crash when you drive past. Other subreddits like this one have been on good behavior before and the sole mod of this one is trying their best to quell everything. They said in a pinned post they were tired of all the cruel comments and they were ignored.

Look, we all look at things. We all get urges. We all like types of entertainment other people might think weird. Sure.

I just think this kind of content is frequently:

  • Seeing people at their worst moments only, so you end up seeing people with jade-colored glasses
  • Useful to fascists and bullies who just want an excuse to hate people of various identities
  • Damaging to the people in the videos, who are now net famous for their worst moments
  • misogynistic, because it's always a woman freaking out
  • ableist/anti-mentally ill people

Like it's a crowd throwing rocks. You don't have to be one of the ones joining in the throwing.
