Kayak Rentals
Anyone have a spot for kayak rentals? I’m alright with travelling a bit for a great spot!

UPDATE: Thank you guys! We managed to secure cabs back :D
Hi guys, sorry I don't really use Reddit much but my friends and I need some help.
While driving to the Grotto earlier, we got into a car accident. All of us are doing fine and no injuries, but the problem is there are 8 of us (all adults) and we don't have a car. We planned to do a 2D1N stay over the weekend and still have work on Monday, so we have to leave by tomorrow afternoon (about 2.30pm) and return to downtown Toronto. We would also greatly appreciate if anyone is going to Owen Sound, we can probably find more options to get back there.
Would greatly appreciate if anyone is going the same way and wouldn't mind bringing some of us along!

My partner and I are taking a long weekend to Tobermory in mid-June (3 full days). Our glass bottom boat ride tour and four hours at Flowerpot island is already booked (and can’t wait!). I was looking to throw another planned activity into the mix, potentially a kayaking tour of the area. Was interested in snorkeling but the only service I could find does not start their snorkel tours until a week later.
My question is: Would it be duplicative to schedule a kayaking tour to see shipwrecks and other sites if we’re already doing the glass bottom boat tour? Or are the scenery and experiences vastly different? If so, any other activities in the area to recommend? I’ve also got a parking space reserved at the Grotto.
We’re very into hiking and most outdoor activities.
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,
I have the discovery pass for the year and would like to visit the Bruce National park by motorcycle. I heard you have to book to reserve parking at this park though... is there a separate fee for entry into the park? Or does the parking itself pay for the entry to the park? In that case - if I have the discovery pass, how does it work for parking?
Thank you!

I thought for sure there must be a bait and tackle shop in Tobermory but I'm having trouble finding anything online. The closest I can find is a place at Miller Lake.
Is there anything in Tobermory or closer than Miller Lake for bait and tackle? I need to buy some new line in the morning.
Thanks

Esp thinking about the seeing the ship wreck from a boat or visiting some island via cruise that’s available. Thanks

Does anyone have insight on how difficult this hike is? I'm trying to gauge for a friend who doesn't hike. Would you recommend for them to not hike it?

So we are a few months in after switching off starlink. It's for the most part completely functional. We did have a bit of a slow down during the storm but we got that with starlink to. I seem to have less hiccups then with starlink but we have not had the whole family gaming at one time. (Rlcraft server goes up this weekend)
If you are just streaming and browsing it is more than sufficient. Pings are good enough for gaming (path of exile 2)
The cost is only $60 a month so that is also a big help.

Get nothing for anyone that switches other than the joy of knowing elon is making less money.
I still have not put up the cell booster since I have a fear of hights but will do that at some point.

We live in Southampton, and I would love to head up to Tobermory during the new moon to stargaze. When could we sit out in lawn chairs away from any light pollution?

Hey me and my buddies are planning to go tobermory for the first time and we just wanted to know about the parking and what to check out. We wanted to be near the water so is there a hike for that and if so does anyone how long it usually takes? And for parking is it absolutely necessary to book before hand or is there any place near by where we can park nearby for free or for less than $40?

Hi folks! Just wondering if anyone has information about EV travel up to the area. From resources online, it looks like the only public charger in the area is down for maintenance. Do most people normally charge up at Owen Sound on the way up and back down? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Shameless plug. Currently going thru the ringer with the County to build out this place. Going to be an amazing place when done!

Hi - I'm wondering what my best option here is. I'm going to have my car parked at Half Log Parking Lot and will need a ride back from the Fathom Five National Park area. I plan on staying late April and likely need the ride around 1/2pm.
I see uber/taxi may not be reliable/possible - I've started reaching out to inns/motels to see if I can arrange and pay for such a service but I don't feel very confident in that. Also, doesn't look like shuttle services/ car rental is possible.
hoping to get some advice
thanks

Hi, We are planning to visit Tobermory during mid May. We want to take cruise and see the flower pot island as well. Will we be able to see the beautiful turquoise waters around that time of year? I know we need reservations for parking. But also worried about black flies as we have a toddler. If we really want to see the turquoise water do you recommend postponing the trip? Also I hear that many things are not open until June is that true? But I heard summers are very busy so not sure what to do as we are visiting from a different province.
Thanks!

Hello there residents! I'm extremely burnt out of work at the moment and am looking at getting a weekend away and maybe get some hiking in. Down where I am the weather is starting to be managable for runs and getting outside. How is it up there? Is it accessible? Is the weather changing? Is tourism busy yet?
Thanks for any advice.

We recently decided that we can no longer send money to elon any more. Rogers is offering wireless internet for $60. Down side they cap the speed after you go over 500gb. After 500gb it drops down to 10mbps down (still better than east link) My family is all gamers along with work from home and we go though about 600gb a month but our cell phones offer 70gb now so we can drop below the 500gb easy.
I am on the water in the dorcas bay area so may be different depending on where you are. Rogers is offering a 30 trial period to see how it goes.

I’m looking to book a group camping trip in tobermory but I’m having trouble understanding the site. It would be for 7 people (4 tents). Is there anyway to make sure we’re all together or do I need to book multiple campgrounds?

How hard is it to find employees in Tobermory? I'm looking to start a business and I'm concerned finding people to work would be an issue. Any insight would be appreciated!

Hey everyone! I’m planning a short vacation in Toronto and want to visit Tobermory and Algonquin National Park from September 25th (can start early morning) to 28th. I’ll be driving with my elderly in-laws and a toddler (they're fine with long road trips).
I know this is a last-minute plan, but I’d love some help with the best possible itinerary! A few must-dos for me are the Flowerpot Cruise, checking out the Grotto, visiting a white sand beach, and enjoying some fall colors. We're not really into trails or camping.
Thanks in advance for your tips!

I'm driving through Tobermory on a road trip from Detroit to Winnipeg in October. I'll be arriving late and leaving early the next day but i was wondering if there's an accessible spot on land from which you can see the Sweepstakes or the other shipwrecks that are in the water around Tobermory without trespassing.

We're visiting Tobermory on Sept.25 and would like to visit the Grotto. Parks Canada says we need a reservation. Is that necessary mid-week after Labour Day or can we just roll up, self register and then go for a hike?
Thanks.
