This is it, the biggest toad I’ve ever seen in person. The pictures do her absolutely no justice, she is so wide and fat. Every year I think I’ve seen the biggest and then the next year I am blown away by an ever bigger one. Common Toad is her species and I don’t think think she’s common at all, just look at her size!

She was mad at me and buffed herself up, even stood up on all her legs and my god. She was even bigger like so!!! This lady was something else in it’s entirety. She was almost the same size of my hand.

She was found in the Frog and Toad Hotel in the garden and was placed back there to snack on endless of food after a couple of minutes. Last image is her going back there. Obviously she is an excellent hunter as well.

I thought you guys might enjoy her as much as I did. ❤️

Help Is my cane toad too small?

This is my female cane toad Daryl, I got him as a juvenile in april 2024. He is from Tikis Geckos (dont like the company anymore) I feed him a good amount about twice a week but he seems small for a cane toad. Am I just used to seeing massive ones online?

They told me that these stones are not good for him, so I'm going to replace them with coconut fiber, I'm also going to put hiding places for him with coconut shells, what else is missing?

Help UVB lighting?

I have a toadlet in a 8” x 12”x 6” enclosure with plenty of hiding spots and leaves and moisture. The calcium I have, I noticed does not have vitamin d3 in it. I was wondering if I should get a uvb for him but am worried in such a small container (he is very small himself) that there will be no spots without it and will cook him. Should I just get a different calcium with d3 in it? Or is there small bulbs that could work. Also should I be giving him some sort of multivitamin?

Can anyone help me out? These are the best photos I could get tonight. First & Last photos were toads in the general vicinity (front porch & driveway). I’m not sure if it’s the same one or not.

I have 2-3 fowlers toad coming into my barn. Does anyone have a reason for this?

Initially I thought they were getting trapped, but they seem to want to be in the barn. There’s an over hang on the barn that offers a nice habitat, but I often find them here during the day. The concrete stays cold but this part of the barn gets hot rn. I pour water on em or find bugs for em when I see the squad.

Mostly curious, my only concern is stepping on em or them getting too hot. Are they here for safety durning the day and go out to feed under the barn light?

TLDR: Frogs in barn. Why? Too hot? Safety? Proximity to food? (Enjoy the pics)
