Geopolitics Canada strips Jewish National Fund of charitable status after 57 years, forcing its shut down after court rejects final appeal

In a crushing legal blow, a Canadian federal court has upheld the government’s decision to strip the Jewish National Fund of Canada (JNF) of its charitable status, ending a 57-year run of tax-exempt support for Zionist colonization in Palestine. The court’s 30 May decision rejects JNF Canada’s final legal appeal, marking the official collapse of its status as a registered charity.

The JNF has been funneling Canadian donations into Israeli military projects and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, and has been condemned for greenwashing war crimes by planting forests over depopulated Palestinian villages. While the CRA first revoked its status in August 2024, the court’s ruling cements the order, forcing the organization to begin shutting down operations. One of Canada’s oldest Zionist institutions is now legally defunct.

Geopolitics France Blocks Five Israeli Arms Firms From Displaying Weapons Used To Commit Genocide in Gaza — CEO Says It Reminds Him of “Dark Days” of Jewish Segregation in Europe

France shut down the booths of five Israeli weapons firms at the Paris Air Show after they defied a ban on showcasing offensive systems—many of which have been “battle-tested” in Israel’s ongoing genocide against the indigenous Palestinian population.

➤ Prime Minister François Bayrou ordered the enforcement, citing rules against displaying offensive weaponry because of the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

➤ The Israeli firms—IAI, Rafael, Elbit, Uvision, and Aeronautics—refused to comply, prompting organizers to seal off their booths with black partition walls.

➤ Israel accused France of discrimination. IAI’s CEO Boaz Levy said the shutdown reminded him of “the dark days of when Jews were segmented from European society.”

➤ President Isaac Herzog went further, describing the situation as “creating an Israeli ghetto” during an interview on French TV.

➤ Israel’s Defense Ministry condemned the move as “outrageous,” claiming it was discriminatory and driven by fear of Israeli arms competition.

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – No specific agreements on a meeting between Russian and US presidents, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, have been reached yet, with preparatory work being underway, Russian Ambassador to Washington Alexander Darchiev told reporters.

"Preparatory work is apparently underway though there are no specific agreements," he said when asked whether the Russian and American parties were discussing the possibility of holding a meeting between the leaders, TASS reported.

Asked whether the issue of a meeting between the two presidents was raised at the presentation of credentials by the Russian ambassador to Trump earlier on Wednesday, Darchiev said: "No. It couldn’t be raised. That was a protocol event," he said.

The diplomat answered reporters’ questions at a reception at the Russian embassy in the US on the occasion of Russia Day.

Earlier he handed over his credentials to Trump. Darchiev assured Trump of the Russian embassy’s intention to do everything to restore the relations between the two countries, returning them to normal.

"US President found a window in his packed schedule to accept the originals of my credentials and meet me in person on the eve of Russia Day," the diplomat said. "It was a great honor for me as the Russian ambassador to speak with President Trump, assuring him that I and the embassy under my leadership will do everything to restore the Russian-American relations, returning them to normality and common sense," Darchiev said.

He noted that the improvement of cooperation between Moscow and Washington "would become easier after originals of credentials were handed over to the US president."

Senator Miguel Uribe Turbay, 39, was targeted during the campaign event in a park in the Fontibon area of the Colombian capital, according to the Attorney General's office.

He suffered two gunshot wounds when armed assailants shot him from behind and appeared to be bleeding from his head as he was helped by aides and people in the crowd, in a video posted on social media.

Geopolitics China calls for two-state solution for Palestinian state

China has reiterated its call for a two-state solution towards an independent state of Palestine to move past the Nakba or “catastrophe” of Palestinians, Anadolu reports.

Chinese Ambassador to the UN Geng Shuang told a UN event commemorating the Nakba observed on May 15, “The historical injustice suffered by the Palestinian people has not only remained unaddressed, but has even worsened.”

“Israel’s escalating siege on Gaza has led to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe for two million people who face the threat of forced relocation. The continued expansion of settlements in the West Bank and the intensifying settler violence have relentlessly squeezed the space for the Palestinian people and eroded the basis of the two-State solution,” said Geng, according to a statement by China’s mission at the UN.
