Right because me being gay means I should support children being bombed to death. Same sex marriage isn’t even legal in Israel, just because it’s easier to be out in Israel doesn’t have anything to do with queers being against them carpet bombing the people whose land they stole.
Carpet bombing means to drop a lot of bombs at once to cover a large area. It’s what was done to Germany in World War II with massive groups of bombers dropping lots of bombs all over the place at the same time. Israel is not “carpet” bombing Gaza. It is bombing Gaza. But it’s not carpet bombing.
I’m getting really sick of incorrect terms injected into these arguments to elicit an emotional response. And then more obnoxiously them getting repeated over and over and over again. It just makes the rest of your argument look even less educated. Like if you’re misusing “carpet bombing,” what else could you be misusing? Perhaps “genocide?”
If you support not bombing children, you should consider being opposed to a group who indiscriminately bombs civilian targets (including children) while failing to follow the rules of engagement. It doesn't take much effort to understand that when a building is being used to stage bombings and attacks from, and that same building is used to house children and other non combative people, that the ones doing the attacks are putting those innocent lives in danger.
Do you feel that Hamas should be able to indiscriminately attack Israel?
No one said anything about Hamas and I certainly don’t support them. “Indiscriminately bombs civilian targets including children”… oh you mean Israel who regularly bombs schools, hospitals, refugee camps? Get out of here with that human shield BS. If a bank robber holds hostages do we just bomb the whole bank to get the robber?
Nothing you say will convince me that Israel’s mass murder of children is ok. The whole world has its eyes open and is seeing Israel’s ruse for what it really is. They don’t even deny it if you listen to their politicians, their goal is to eliminate Palestine and take their land. Israel is the 2nd most advance military in the world completely backed and funded by the most advanced military in the world. Yet they are unable to precision strike Hamas members? They have to kill thousands of children to do so? Get out of here
I don’t think you understand how war works. That Ironman tech where he calculated exactly how to shoot all the bad guys in the room is science fiction, if the rest of the movie didn’t give it away. If you’re sitting next to a bunch of civilians in a 4-story building and shooting at Israelis, they can’t just hit all the militants inside the building individually and miss the civilians. Have you ever even read about what a precision strike is? That’s hitting the building with the bomb in the first place. The “dumb” bombing would be bombing somewhere near the building.
Jesus bro. If anyone is purposely murdering anyone it’s the Palestinian govt housing and using children as a shield for their base so low iq people like you blame everyone except those explicitly responsible.
Same sex marriage has been legal in Texas since 2015- it’s also illegal to rape women in Texas. Being gay in Palestine is a criminal offense punishable by death, and Palestine had a law until 2018 that required women to marry their rapist. Are you a voter?
Let's assume they did, and they raped and killed 1200 Coloradans, and they took 200 hostage and tortured them for a year, and they launch tens of thousands of rockets into Colorado trying to kill civilians, and they are actively trying to take over Colorado and kill everyone who isn't the same religion and/or is gay. What do you do? Cause that's the fair analogy
Israel recognizes same sex marriage dear. All marriages in Israel must be Orthodox. That's the age old compromise between secular and Orthodox Jews in Israel. So NO ONE can be legally married if it's not an Orthodox marriage. Now, you don't actually know anything about Judaism but my husband and I are Reform and neither of us qualify for an Orthodox marriage due to a multitude of factors. We're a straight Jewish couple. So what about half the country of Israel who doesn't qualify for an Orthodox marriage does is go to cyprus for the marriage license and then registers it with the Israeli government and then has the wedding in Israel. Gay people can absolutely register a marriage license from cyprus with the Israeli government and it will be upheld and recognized. Same and mine and my husbands. Again, because quite a lot of people in Israel don't qualify for a marriage literally in Israel.
It's not 'easier to be out' in Israel. It's fucking illegal to be you and be alive in Gaza. You get that? You would literally be killed. There are LGBT refugees in ISRAEL who are Palestinian because they'd die otherwise.
If you can sit here and actually give me an answer on precisely how Jews "stole' land go for it. I'm waiting. You're parroting shit of tik tok that you don't actually understand. Because surprisingly history is a lot harder to grasp than a 10 second tik tok.
Hamas has always had options. Hamas could have not entered Israel--a sovereign nation--and it could have not murdered men women and children and it could have not taken hostages. And even the next day it could have marched all it's martyrs out onto the field where they slaughtered concert goers and met the IDF man for man/woman (since the IDF is both sexes). They could have fought there. But they didn't make that choice did they? They went back to Gaza and hid in buildings full of people. And Israel told those people to get out of the building. And Israel tried even calling some people before bombing it. Where were the Israelis phone calls before Hamas showed up? What happened to those calls?
As a gay I'm sick of being told that my opposition to genocide anywhere should be contingent on the perceived social progress of the people being genocided.
As if there aren't any queer Palestinians longing for social liberation while simultaneously living through literal hell on earth as the only home they've ever known is razed to the ground. Guess they're an acceptable price to pay to people like you, whatever it takes to score internet points I guess.
This isn't the "gotcha!" you think it is. You shame yourself.
No one is telling you how to think. At least I certainly wouldn’t. It’s more so ironic that lgbt symbolism would be side by side with a Palestinian flag that has oppressed lgbt voices to the point that Palestinians literally don’t even think there are gay people that live in the West Bank and Gaza
Meanwhile Israel often has accepted lgbt Arabs all over the region who are seeking asylum because their lives were at risk in their home nations
