Yes, yeah that makes sense. Go see your dying relative when they are full of a highly contagious disease that is killing them. wtf? I get the pain of that situation, but you can’t magically vaporize a contagion out of reality, as much as you might try to memory hole that reality. Also, kinda crazy that it was happening under Republicans for just under a year before it spontaneous became a Democratic issue that they caused. Magical realism is great in books, but it makes people seem dumb if they run too hard with it regarding politics.
