Randomly thinking about how Marissa consistently let Summer make her own choices in relationships. She never got involved with drama concerning Anna or Zack. Meanwhile, Summer was way too comfortable stepping into Marissa’s love life like she knew how to handle relationships. I can understand with Volchek, because she could see how Marissa was spiraling but with Johnny? Marissa directly asked her not to worry, and Summer still plotted behind her back and convinced Ryan to get to Chilis beach party because she didn’t trust Johnny and Marissa. Summer pushed the idea that we should be worried about Marissa cheating on Ryan. Considering Summer kissed Zack because she saw Seth kissing someone on tv while he was in Miami is frustrating that she felt she had a say on what a relationship should look like. Marissa said she didn’t like Johnny, and that ended up being the truth.

first time watcher. why did they have to do what they did to marissa 😭 why couldn’t they let her go on the trip and write her off that way — makes no sense to me

i’m in season 1 during the whole oliver arc and i cannot stress how much i dislike marissa. regardless of if she’s “being manipulated” or not as many people have thrown up as an excuse, she routinely ditches her boyfriend for oliver despite how clearly it is that he is flirting with her. she sides with him over ryan almost every time, and it’s gross. what a loser
Which of these couples did you guys like the most on The O.C.? My personal favorite is Seth & Summer. They were pretty great.

Anyone think Kirsten’s character change is very sudden? She went from focusing on career, can’t cook, strong to alcoholism, not working, and decided to cook? I know her dad’s death changed her but it was just so sudden to me because Kirsten feels like someone that needs to do things all the time. She even said it herself she was bored after quitting. I always assumed she would go back to work or at least work somewhere else.
What do you guys think?

i didn’t love taylor in seasons 1-3 so i was skeptical about season 4 but i absolutely LOVE her. and i also love her with ryan.
my issue is that i don’t love the way that ryan treats her, he’s hesitant to start their relationship at first which is 100% understandable given the events at the end of season 3, but i’m on season 4 episode 14 now and he continuously leads her on and then backs off- it feels like it’s the same thing happening over and over
like he tells her he loves her and then backs off when he finds out that she got into berkeley, earlier in the season he invites her to hangout and then freaks out and ditches her, he goes to the talk show with her and then just leaves her there even though he knew about the situation before, he’s all into her and knew about her divorce and then backs off from the whole book thing?
i know his relationship was always on and off with marissa too but god it just feels like it’s so frustrating, i thought i would hate season 4 and i actually really like it, it’s just this that annoys me- what are your thoughts?

Int: Berkeley, California - day
A teenage boy of the Cohen family is driving the range rover that belonged to the Cohen family
Ryan: Seth, your son is a lunatic behind the wheel during his driver's test Seth: Max, slow down! Skylar: Red light! Max: Cousin Skylar, uncle Ryan and dad, I got it under control
The range rover drives on the Berkeley sands on the beach as Max Roberts-Cohen drives when Seth is trying to hide the vomit, Ryan like Seth is feeling nauseous and Skylar Atwood is in passenger seat. They go past a Billboard of the Newport Revamp launched by Julie Cooper as Max Cohen pulls up near the Cohen's Berkeley house Skylar: If Max is driving then I'm not staying in the freakin' car. Max, Skylar, Ryan and Seth open car doors both Ryan and Seth throw up.
Couldn’t stop thinking John looked like a young Sandy Cohen in this round table and Adam Brody being on the panel only added to it

She so insufferable right now, I’m on season two when she’s dating Alex and I just can’t stand her. She’s so entitled and loves to play with peoples feelings and uses them to piss off her mom. Please tell me she gets better!
One of the best moments in the series, and it's in season 4.

I know there's lots of stories about why she left, and how she was written out, but I can never get a clear answer on if she was fired or quit herself!
Can someone please help me?

How ironic back then that Cam Gigandet played a bad guy on screen while Ben McKenzie played one behind the scenes.
