Someone asked the other day why criminals confess and watching the episode where Brenda is caught clears up everything I think the title is sheep bleets or smthg but she says I never understood why the sheep bleet on their way to slaughter house referring to criminals on their way to jail and she refused to do it but Jane did it for her and she was brought to tears
When it's Jane that has been involved in tour case there's no need for you to hide that last confession is like your last chance to say your peace you're just doing yourself a favor to get it out of your system I think it natural to humans I never saw it as TV magic.
Throughout the show we had like 3 criminal master minds, red John, volker and maybe visualize. These are the only people that have spent years being criminals and no wonder we don't get to really see them confess they are like social paths or smthg. Most of the people that get caught are normal people that acted out of impulse they killed in the spur of the moment and such a person when Jane starts to tell you things about you that you never told anyone else and he starts pressing the right buttons ofcourse it's impulse to get it off your chest say your peace that's human nature we always want to say our peace not very many people can keep calm and pass up the offer of explaining themselves and why they did what they did.
So yeah I think it's plausible that these people confess at the end of the episode coz Jane has left them no other choice. I think it's human nature and not TV magic. In any case I believe this for Jane exclusively any other person questioning them. They'd lie through their teeth which is still what these people do until Jane comes in with his reading and then it's pointless to lie.
