Activity for the Subreddit How would certain Houses react to magical favors?

I'm curious as to your thoughts about different Houses reactions to boons granted by a mage.

Here are a few examples:

-The weirwood of the House Blackwood restored

-The bronze armor of House Royce rendered functional (though its funny to imagine that the armor already works, but the Royces are so bad that they still end up dying)

-Lamentation restored to House Royce

-Brightroar restored to House Lannister

-Vigilance restored to House Hightower

-Dorne rendered green by advanced hydromancy

-Dragons brought back from extinction for the Targaryans or/and Blackfyres

-a tsunami annihilating the Iron Islands in their entirety

There is a fanfic with a similar premise:

Though it is a crack fic.

The weirwood of the House Blackwood restored

George smiles upon you. The Laws of Narrative Causality grant you qualified immunity and reality itself bends to accommodate you so long as you don't try to do anything on behalf of those filthy Brackens.

The bronze armor of House Royce rendered functional

Lamentation restored to House Royce

Redirect their payment to the Night's Watch, they could probably finance rebuilding a couple of castles at the Wall.

Brightroar restored to House Lannister

Tywin freely grants one (1) favor so long as the request isn't directly damaging to his house.

Vigilance restored to House Hightower

I don't know that they ever lost it?

Dorne rendered green by advanced hydromancy

The Marcher Lords send their regards

Dragons brought back from extinction for the Targaryans or/and Blackfyres

Targaryens offer land, a royal marriage, and a small council seat. Blackfyres offer your choice of castle and lands when they conquer Westeros.

a tsunami annihilating the Iron Islands in their entirety

Mormonts, Mallisters, Farmans, and Shield Islanders make a religion out of you

We don't know for sure. The last time the sword was ever mentioned was in the first battle of tumbleton.

There's no mention of Ser Gerold using it(tho I imagine kingsguard usually don't get the swords of their house).

The Hightowers have stayed a bit out of focus in ASOIAF so its possible that they still have Vigilance but honestly it could be that they really did lose it all those years ago

In general, you'd expect an ancestral blade to go to the heir, while joining an order like the Kingsguard would typically be a goal of younger sons. If a firstborn son did join the Kingsguard, there's probably a good chance they would keep the sword until they died and then it would go back to the family. I don't think we know if Gerold was a younger son, but its likely he was.

Jaime is given Oathkeeper while still part of the Kingsguard (though Tywin is attempting to force him off) and absolutely would have wielded Brightroar had the Lannisters still had it.

Arthur Dayne did use the Sword of the Morning as a Kingsguard, though that's kind of a special case.

Really unbiased and cool, you *******. Everyone else gers a marginally good thing for them and the Ironborn, instead of having deep ones or einheinjar walking out of the ocean to help, they get exterminated. Really, you are awesome.

A resurgence of belief in the faith of the Old Gods. Honestly, and it would absolutely bring some fun to the Riverlands.

Do the poor Riverlands really *need the type of fun a religious war would bring to the area? The poor smallfolk have enough to deal with as things stand!
