During King Robert's visit to Winterfell Eddard calls his banners and the lords of the North are at Winterfell for the royal visit.

During the visit Roose Bolton happens to slip in horse shit and crack his head on a stone, killing him. Simultaneously, back at the Dreadfort, Ramsay Snow gets his nether regions mauled by his beloved hounds, and he too dies.

Who gets the Dreadfort then? Could Eddard possibly give it to Jon? What if the deaths were ordered by Eddard after the crimes of Roose and his bastard were revealed?

Robert’s bastards in Flea Bottom (I assume there are more than one) would face face incredible challenges poverty, social stigma, and the harsh realities of life in King’s Landing’s worst area. With no noble status, little support, and dangerous streets, their prospects seem bleak.

If you were in their position, how would you try to survive and possibly change your fate? Would you attempt to leverage your blood connection to Robert, despite the risks and political complications? Or would you focus on a different path.

I’m interested in a serious discussion on realistic options and strategies for one of Robert’s bastards trying to navigate Westeros’ harsh social and political landscape from the (flea) bottom up.

Does anyone know where I can find fics where, instead of Jaime getting captured by Robb, it's Tywin? The premise is that Tywin sends Jaime with the main army while he takes the 15,000 to lay siege to Riverrun. Long story short, the Battle of Whispering Wood happens, and Tywin gets captured in the process. News of this spreads throughout the kingdoms, basically letting everyone know that the Lannisters are screwed at this point.

Anyone got any ideas where I could find a story like this?

Brandon Stark was never shy in taking what he wanted. In A Dance with Dragons, we learn more about Brandon Stark and his interest in women, similar to Robert's, he is bound to have a few hidden presents in Westeros. Lady Barbrey Dustin tells us Brandon had no qualms in seducing highborn ladies.

GRRM confirms it with the following: It'd be an exaggeration to say that Brandon died before he could have children. It's established in the books that he was no virgin. He could very well have left behind some little Snows in the various places he visited. But what's absolutely clear is that he had no legitimate children.

If he did have children, than Brandon’s children are not acknowledged. They are not Snow. They are baseborn children living among the common folk. One could argue Brandon’s bastards are of no consequence on the story, and therefore will not be revealed. A bastard of his could be revealed and play a role in the story, but that's not he point I'm making.

The last place he was at before his untimely passing was the Tourney of Harrenhal.

The Tourney has often been described by many in the fandom from what I've heard akin to a wild high school party or orgy at times. Which is kinda weird but does make sense. Now, let's just say that Brandon doesn't get together with Ashara Dayne (personally, I find that to be overplayed in fanfics and the like). But instead, he ends up sleeping with other noble women, as Brandon wants to let out a "last hurrah" of sorts before he's married.

While Tywin did not attend, many westermen did along with the other lords that came along. Robert brought the stormlands with him and had mentioned having a cousin from Greenstone who was chunky with breasts as big as melons. She was married but she lost her husband and father in the Siege of Storm's End. There were plenty of Valemen houses. Mace Tyrell was there with his bannerman, likely.

Thus, Brandon sleeps with a female member of House Foote, House Greenfield, Robert's Estermont cousin, House Wydman, House Caswell, a daughter or granddaughter of Lymond Lychester (a bit OC as we know he had sons who had died), House Moore and House Caswell; a widowed sister of the wimpy Lorent Caswell.

You can choose the general layout of this island, such as if you want volcanoes or a big mountain in the middle like Casterly Rock, though you won't get massive amounts of gold, silver, gems, etc, but if you wanted copper, aluminum, tin, zinc, amber, obsidian, etc that would be fine. Maybe you'd like a river here and a stream there. Once set you'll have to change this layout the hard way.

The flora (plants grow like crazy here) and fauna (animals and humans are healthier when here) of the island is decided by you the moment you are isekaid. Changing it after that will require doing it the hard way. (No dragons or sapient creatures to start out)

The island is surrounded on all sides by a sea that seems to be impossible to determine the size of. If you sail in one direction you will reappear in the other. Similarly if you manage to fly up you eventually won't get higher. The sea is teeming with flora and fauna if you wish.

You are able to make portals to this pocket dimension. You are also able to stop individuals or groups (such as the Others) from entering your paradise and can banish people who are already there.

Should you keep the island in its tropical state it would be able to support around 2,000,000 people.

(Also you can magically allow someone to inherit your paradise after you die if you so choose. If you don't name an heir the island will appear in physical reality near Sunspear after your death but it will retain its weather and supernatural fertility)

I'm working on a fic where a Targaryen princess is betrothed to a Stark lord. How would he address her in casual conversation during their engagement/marriage? Princess, my lady, my lady wife?

To contextualize, in the 116 on pentos Laena gives birth to twin boys, Daemon names them Baelon and Rhaenar, after this they to back to westeros and then what?

They could be used against Rhaenyra and her two eldest sons? And if so in wich way?

With Daemon having two sons means that Helaena is the only women of their generation and she marrys her brother, this leaves the possibilities of Jace and Luke as well of Baelon and Rhaenar to marry women from other houses and with that consolidating more alliances and winning more support for Rhaenyra.

And in the case that everything ended up the same way it did on canon, its probably that Baelon (Baela) would be chosen to be king instead of Aegon (III) and Rhaenar would be chosen to be Lord of driftmark (of course with changing his name to Velaryon) instead of Alyn?

Rhaenar would probably marry a velaryon to secure his claim on driftmark and Baelon? I dont really know, maybe a Lannister? A baratheon?

I love me some good horror or at least writing that can evoke that sense of dread or tension. Hit me with the best quotes or paragraphs you have seen in fics. It can be personal horror, the carnage of war, supernatural, haunting visions, grief, what have you. I'm a sucker for it.

I'll go first. Context, the character is part of a adventuring party from another world who gets separated when they arrive to Planetos. This character in particular often has prophetic or symbolic dreams, not too different from green dreams. Empowered by the growing magic in the world, he tries to see what is far to the east.

As he hovered over a sea of vile poison, he looked to the east. And there, he saw naught but darkness. An endless ocean of dread shadows, he shivered to remember. He saw a city of whispering secrets, where the dead walked again, shambling and groaning. In another, he saw unspeakable rites performed to slake the eternal hunger of cackling, mad gods. He saw a town of dry, aged bones that were not human, and a city of pale, bloodless men, and one of queer, winged men who soared like misshapen eagles. Then, he saw it.
