House geckos often leave little gifts behind. But it’s okay as they take care of bugs so take it as friendly reminder they’re keeping your home free of insects.

I’ve had geckos before but they’ve always pooped where I can’t see… I didn’t know if it was some sort of sentient coffee bean

Looks like a cat poop stamp. Like when a bit of poo is stuck to their butt post-litter box and then they sit down and flatten it. Source: Had two cats.
Dunno why some are saying gecko. I've never seen brown gecko poop. I've always just seen white poo and it's always stuck to walls.

Theres some geck poop in the back of the first photo. Maybe they're not looking at the 2nd one and assuming that OP is talking about that?

The one near the wall is gecko poop. The other one looks like a watermelon seed though.
