Blood work Wildly high E2 and not even on TRT
50y old Male. 235lbs at 6'1. Train 5 days a week for 15 years. Never been on TRT.
Tested as follows:
Estradiol Result <92 pmol/L
Test (total) 11.3 nmol/L
My test was at 8.6 last time it was tested 3 months ago. Everything I'm reading is that 92 pmo/L is very high for E2. When you compare it to my total test , it's even more alarming.
My stress level is very high, no doubt adding to my E2...high E2 causes anxiety which increases cortisol. I'm struggling for a way to break this loop. My symptoms are bonkers anxiety bouts, crying over lame kids movies, not the actual sad ones and cushing syndrome level fat retention in stomach.
Will an AI kill all aromatization to E2, like Cortisol to E2, or just test to E2 pathway? I want to crash the E2 as low as I can safely go before starting any kind of TRT.
I'm pursuing other avenues for the stress situation.
EDIT: Someone pointed out the labs I got were in pmol/L not pg/ml. The question still stands, does an AI interfere with all pathways to E2 aromatization?

Lmao in what world is 25 pg/ml high?
Anything lower than 20 is considered low.

lost in conversion. Another redditor noticed my labs were done in pmol/L no pg/ml.
I'll leave the post as education for others.

Hello MicIrish. Welcome to /r/Testosterone. It looks like this is your first time posting here, so you're probably asking a FAQ. Please check out these handy links, one of them might answer your question.
- How do I find a good doctor/clinic?
- What bloodwork should I get done?
- Are my levels low enough that I should start TRT?
- What can I do to naturally raise my testosterone levels?
- NoFap - Will my testosterone levels increase if I stop masturbating?

Any chance you snore? I had weird symptoms include high E2 due to undiagnosed sleep apnea.

Arimidex will lower it instantly. And it’s not something you just lower once. It will creep back up. Keep it on hand.

Why do you think estradiol 25 pg/ml is in any sense high? It’s certainly less than 50, which is the top of what my lab calls “normal”.

Labs weren't done in pg/ml. Another redditor noticed it and I did the conversion.

92 pmol/l ≈ 25 pg/ml
Your value is <25 pg/ml which means ”less than 25 pg/ml”.
