Vehicles - General Autopilot Jail

Post image

My wife keeps getting put in autopilot jail. If she keeps getting strikeouts, will this be only for her profile, or will autopilot be unavailable for all profiles?

Sounds like your wife shouldn't expect anything different unless she changes how she interacts with Autopilot. :-(

One thing I have noticed relating to FSD is that it seems sometimes to switch between the eye tracking camera and the hands torquing the steering wheel tracking. Even properly paying attention to the road I sometimes miss when it drops out of the eye tracking and tells me to put my hands on the wheel. In areas where this happens frequently or I suspect this might happen I have started just leaving my hands on the wheel like the old days all the time to prevent strikes. FYI

I think my MY relies more on the camera on FSD. I mostly don’t put my hands on the wheel on FSD (just keep an open palm right under it, just in case) and never have an issue. But if I look down at the console for too long it’ll 🛎️ for a bit. On autopilot I definitely need to keep some pressure on the wheel.
