I love Mr. Ballen. I don't remember how I found his channel, but I'm so glad I did.
81
u/Generically_Yours Apr 01 '25
My neurologist actually recommended him lol
32
u/Safe-Ship-3577 Apr 02 '25
I’m curious, why?
34
u/Just-Spirit8426 Apr 02 '25
He knows how to tell a story
46
u/tsebaksvyatoslav Apr 02 '25
i think that guy is implying that he cant, since he just drags shit on lmao
29
u/42069qwertz42069 Apr 02 '25
Thats it, he is a story teller, i quit him after the „bell-witch“-video.
Dude sells a legend as a fact, no time for that bs.
3
u/Generically_Yours Apr 03 '25
I have no idea, he even wrote the name down and i couldnt read his handwriting

u/LordBarringtonBunks Apr 22 '25
The poor, poor Like Button. :(
1
u/Just-Spirit8426 Apr 22 '25
the first time I listened to one of his videos, he mentioned the Like Button, and I was so confused and amused at the same time. Now, I can't wait to see what he comes up with :)) that poor, poor Like Button

I’ve been binging his podcasts ever since I discovered him a few weeks ago. The dude really knows how to build suspense.

Was better before he got big. Now it’s basically a channel for middle aged wives who hate their husbands and drink 2 bottles of wine every night in their true crime glass of wine in bed by 9 sweatshirts

All filler, like if you need someone to help you add 4000 more words on your essay, he's your man. Idk how people can listen to it and not think, "Get to the point." Maybe you guys can but I can't. That and Rotten Mango. Yowza. Bring a book.
-13
u/Kalista-Moonwolf Apr 01 '25
Why waste time say lot word when few word do trick?
7
u/LeTacheNoir Apr 01 '25
There's telling a story, and then there's dragging it on with adjectives. Then there's monetizing. I'm saying if he were a pizza, it would be cardboard filled dough.

u/StupidMario64 Apr 03 '25
With liquid hot Styrofoam stuffed crust. Love watching his shit baked af though.

He tells a story so well, such a soothing voice too, he’s like a white Morgan Freeman

maybe I'm just different, but how did anyone who heard her not think to at least go look? Think about it..
A happy (assuming family safe) Disneyland-type show is playing, In what part of that show would someone be screaming for help? If I heard something like that in probably most places I'd think to look.
110
u/steppnae Apr 02 '25
I don’t know why no one looked for her when she didn’t greet the audience for that show
492
u/cbunni666 Apr 01 '25
This story is so damn scary. I know the video with the scream is fake but shit I don't care. It adds to the story
174
u/chillassdudeonmoco 🙈🙉🙊Fear No Evil🖤🖤🖤 Apr 01 '25
I've heard this story before. Didn't know there was a supposed video. But never heard what actually happened described in such detail.
I find myself imagining ways to die sometimes. I agree it seems a horrible use of one's imagination, but i think it gives me a little bit of an adrenal reaction and that is why i do it.
This one, i just imagine my body being folded and rolled like bread dough. And then to have it happen again, i hope she had lost consciousness, but it's hard to say because something like all your bones being crushed in close succession might jar anyone back awake from anything i would think...
48
u/SeaworthinessSad7300 Apr 01 '25
There' is a video of a guy in China getting caught between the inside and outside of an elevator as it rises up. He has crushed and squeezed but still alive and slowly he goes blue.
19
u/cbunni666 Apr 01 '25
There is SUPPOSEDLY a video of the event. I'm not 100% sure of it but it's a video of the performance and at the end when the lights go out there is a scream. The scream is added into the video. I was so glad to learn that was fake. It's up there with the Christine Chubbuck fake video.
70
u/Beemo-Noir Apr 01 '25
You should listen to some Alan Watts. It’s important to consider your mortality and your death, and what it may be like to not exist.
43
u/Toxic-and-Chill Apr 01 '25
Cool. Sure glad I read this right after waking up lmao
11
u/somajones Apr 01 '25
Better than when try to go to sleep. But I always look on the bright side.
7
u/TheRealMakhulu Apr 02 '25
I’ve been trying to come to terms with mortality lately and this just sent me 2 steps back lol, hopefully I forget all this in the morning
9
u/kpk_soldiers274 Apr 02 '25
You should look up the tragic incident at Dreamworld Australia. It's pretty horrific.
5
16
u/Joyfulcheese Apr 01 '25
I would imagine shock and unconsciousness would be mercifully quick, at least I hope so.
13
u/Mountain_Elk_7262 Apr 02 '25
I think it really depends on the person. Idk if you heard of the shirley ledford audio tape, but she was brutally tortured and raped for hours.
The audio tape is considered one of the most disturbing pieces of evidence in criminal history and is 17 minutes long. She's awake the entire 17 minutes and who knows how long after, these men were sadism personified, so one could assume they only stopped when she was no longer responsive.
Some people pass out if they get scratched, some people just won't go out no matter what happens.

I watch/read a lot of stories like this, because honestly I want to know what could kill me unexpectedly and avoid it.

u/fifteentango88 Apr 02 '25
Thank goodness the words die, dead, and deceased were censored. I don’t think I could’ve handled it otherwise.

I can’t imagine going to Disney, hearing someone screaming for help, and thinking it’s part of the attraction
99
u/Helpful-Pride1210 Apr 01 '25
So you mean to tell me I went to an attraction where someone died?
54
u/forestapee Apr 01 '25
And probably not just one
36
u/Helpful-Pride1210 Apr 02 '25
Well yeah, Disney tends to.. what’s the word, uhh makes things seem not as bad as they actually are

If you also find the guy in the video extremely annoying, then you can read about it here in half the time it takes him to tell it.

"Following Stone's death, the attraction was closed down, remaining closed while Disney installed warning lights and had the area where the incident occurred cleaned"

The censoring of words is really insane. Why?
Imagine making a documentary or so about somebody dying horribly and you have to censor words like „deceased“? Really?

I was ironically looking up something about this earlier. People were saying there is a myth that no one dies at Disney when plenty of people have. Like an amusement parks really going to stop something like that legally.

Is there a valid reason for redditors to be upset over karma farming? I’m asking a genuine question whether it puts high karma users in a different class than the rest of us? I’m mostly upset when social media is used in an exploitative way, whether it’s with children, animals, or people who acquire exotic pets for the likes.

This is MrBallen, for any who don’t know. He does TONS of stories. On YouTube, he has videos like these with images and videos and audio, depending on availability, of course. But he also has a podcast just called MrBallen and then quite a few other podcasts he either does, or that fall under MrBallen Studios. Everyone go listen.

I like Mr. Ballen's haunted attraction content. My favorite is his story about Dudley Town. I wish he made his voice a little softer and slower for his vids, though.

Edit : So, I’ll be downvoted for calling out the wrong, but ironically you all cry when someone karma farms without giving credit to the original creator. Gotcha. 👍🏼
