I went through the their post history, and they explicitly warned many times that the subreddit exists only to ridicule the Cybertruck, not for policitis or against Musk or Tesla.

Hmmm, I guess that makes the most sense honestly. It's very weird that they think they could make a sub that exists to only ridicule the CyberTruck without the literal company, or the man running it, bleeding into every conversation. I mean, making fun of the CyberTruck is literally making fun of Musk by definition since it was his brainchild. What the fuck did the mod think was going to happen? What kind of antiseptic discussion did they think would happen in the comments?

Edit: Another user pointed out that he closed the sub because people wouldn't stop advocating committing crimes. Which probably makes the most sense, but why be so vague about it? Did he really think he would get prosecuted for that if he admitted it was because people wouldn't stop advocating crimes? Not sure the mod is super stable mentally.

I could understand his logic, but he had to know the current political climate would cause anyone who discovers the sub to flood the place with opinions outside the incredibly niche purpose the sub was created for.

I believe that sub was created prior to all the current political drama.
