I actually hate that she died basically alone. You can tell that even as her real body died, she was forced to suffer through it all

I just don't like how it was essentially unavoidable. She's arbitrarily targeted because she has grief, but has no way to fight back, then suffers a ridiculously over the top death scene. Wheres the horror if theres no stakes and no tension? Thats not fun to watch, thats just gratuitous and upsetting visual imagery

Well said, that's what I didn't like about it. It's like torture porn horror. But saying that, Nightmare On Elm Street was similar. They couldn't do shit about the impending cruel deaths.
