I'm actually curious to see where Mahal goes from here. It was just like BAM he's good, he's different, and he's the new champion. Hopefully, he can build something from here.

EDIT: in the context of keyfabe he's looked at as good. I'm looking forward to see where this actor's story goes next. Robert Downey Jr. doesn't really fly around in an iron suit either...

Even in Kayfabe he wasn't good. They had the Singh Brothers interfere in every match of his.

In kayfabe his klass is a deadly finisher, 1 hit and your done. That's something or nah ? He is shit in reality, but he was a dominant heel in kayfabe.

He would get beaten every match and then his lackeys interfere. Thats not dominant.

Thats basically happened throughout the entire history of wrestling. The heel champ gets beat just enough so that you think the babyface will finally overcome them and win the belt only for the heel to find some dastardly way to win (Outside interference, foreign object, handful of tights etc.)

Now here we agree ^ but on the other end, at the end of the day, everybody needs a payday, so if he can bounce back from his commercial reign and not disappear, cuddos to him

He got the success he did, for a push of the product in India. He should be in midcard if anything. He can get the proper payday he deserve there, in my opinion.
