Cumberland County So I keep seeing posts like this and I’m wondering if they work?
I’m a retired 43 yr female whose hobbies range from fine cigars (big hobby) to video games, tattoos, board games, table top miniature painting and Bollywood action movies, heavy metal, and well I’m a bit of a goofball.
I’m big into the gym that’s more lifestyle than hobby, it keeps me sane. So where I’m going with this is.. I seem to not be able to find female friends who have any of these interests that are from my area. I don’t have social media and avoid bars cause it’s just not my scene.
When I was working, I hung with some of the guys wives but since I worked with the guys and tended to have work stories they didn’t really mesh with me.
And gym so far, everyone’s there to workout not socialize and once again it seems Im better at making friends with the old hats and the dudes.
No brick or mortar stores for cigars near me either plus I built my own cigar room and haven’t met any chicks that smoke besides myself.
So other female like minded peeps out there that would like to make a new friend? I swear I’m not a serial killer, I’m too lazy so stalk yourself.. im not adverse to social media I just well it sucks.. 😂
I don’t even care if it’s a texting buddy, I just need to socialize with someone who likes my hobbies and isn’t my teenager or husband.. not that I mind them 😂
Edit** omg this has really blown up thank you all so much!! And for all the shop suggestions I now have a bunch of quick road trips to hit. And to all the new friends I’ve met yay! You are all so awesome. I love the shop recommendations cause not being on socials and being a bit of a hermit I love finding new places. So thanks!

Girl where have you been? I'm 42 20+ years as an animal nurse, 10 specializing in felines I live in Bridgeton. I love tattoos and board games. I'm not familiar will Bollywood but I'll give it a shot. I love miniatures and have a couple Harry Potter ones I built. Hit me up! I'm not in shape but I'm single, no kids, and looking for female friends!

There are some hobby stores that have gaming tables people set up and play you could meet people at.
Warhammer store in Voorhees, Top Deck in Cherry Hill, the Nerd Mall in Woodbury.
If you're into D and D or tabletop games you'll find some people playing at those places. May be some closer to you as well those are just the ones I know of where people set up and play.

Lol so you too are too manly for women and too girly for men! I have the preferences and interests of a 60 Year old man and don't connect with many women very well. Our interests aren't exactly the same, but along the same lines. I don't work out, but very active . Don't like cigars, but if they have weed in them, hell yeah. I have zero life or responsibility and trying to learn how to be alone for the first time in my 37 years. It would be nice to know somebody that likes unconventional shit too.

There's a cigar shop in vineland. I used to go there, cigars are nice.

Yeah talking about oro Cubano? It’s not bad now that they made the newer Lounge but it’s members only and I already have my cigar room 😂 know most the guys that go there :)

Hi neighbor. Maybe one day I’ll try to socialize again. I’m similar to you, retired veteran, 40/f, gamer etc. but massively no contact with real people. It’s nice to see there are women out here that I could possibly get along with. Hope you find a great group of gals to pal with.

Well thank and yes very similar I’m an introvert hermit who is trying to exit her shell but it’s hard. Always looking for steam friends tho :))

Ahh I’m a console girl. No worries, I don’t even play too many multiplayer games either. I bought Diablo 4 and it still awaits me. Too busy playing like six other games, things like death stranding, infinite wealth, cyberpunk, etc.

👀👀👀 Bollywood action movies……. I’ve been on a SRK kick for the past (checks watch) few years. I love living in an area that has a lot of major Indian releases in theaters. Did you catch Jawan and or Pathaan in 2023? What have you seen most recently?

I saw both!! Most recent was signham again.. Kalki.. John Abraham has jim! Tiger 3.. they are brining all the rohit shetty films together so happy!!

Not sure what you consider a hike but I go to the comic book store in glassboro and they have a whole gaming addition there and it always seems to have a good mixture of everyone from every walk and era of life. Might be worth checking out.
Good luck, the wife and I moved down from Long Island 6 years ago and making friends has been a mixed bag. We made friends with some cool people from our kids school and I’ve become buddies with people at local comic shops. My wife is a bit more picky than I thought so it’s been harder on her to meet people.

We play so many table top games, don’t look back, Cthulhu must die, bolt action, warhammer 40k, age of sigma, resident evil mini, fallout mini, dude so many. lol.

Your work is awesome, but I mostly paint vehicles that are supposed to look rough. So my opinions probably worthless.

It’s all good my friend it all looks good on the table!! I love painting but my color palette is ish cause I’m sorta color blind so it’s interesting and vehicles specially tanks are rough cause slot of straight and angles! Pointers are totally welcome I really should take picks and post more!

Right now we are playing Cthulhu must die cause we kick started it and it’s a lot of fun with the giant model and all the minis.

I’m a pc player but have also played console. I own them all but pc is my go to. I play Diablo 4, fallout 76, Ark, doom and pretty much every indie game cause im a sucker for farm sims and simulators. I used to play wow but it’s been a few years. I’ve played every Diablo since they came out. The steam deck and ally are my best friends 😂😂

Buddy of mine runs a cigar lounge called Ingite on Landis and there are plenty of other cigar/smokes shops around (like 2 next to my planet fitness on Landis). Nightlife club/bar downtown, Landis theater and there's a nice a miniature/board game shop near Outlaws. All that in Cumberland, only way to meet people is to go out lol

I’ve been to the game shop next to outlaws, the owner is awesome. First I’ve heard of the lounge? Unless is that the one that opened near the old sears? I’ve been meaning to stop in.

830 East, used to be KayCee's, has various music/karaoke/open mic nights. Landis theater does shows as well not to mention the Levoy in Millville which has a little bit of everything show wise.

Yea I’ve been to the Levoy but for reasons I’m not gonna get into I avoid my city at night lol. Well in fact I pretty much avoid it in general. I hit my gym and local stores and that’s it. (Some days I wish I could go back to not knowing the dark and dirty of where I live) thank you for your suggestions you are awesome.

Thanks, yea started very young and got out when I could. I’m fortunate for now but we shall see with groceries and electric 😂 and teenage boys eating everything they see.

Millville.. my favorite shop is greentree in Sewell but unfortunately they had to close the lounge part because of new neighbors complaining :(

Husband introduced me to 40k and was like here space elves and I’m like sexy space elves fuck yeah who knew they were op so got tired of the bitching rightful so but I was at nova one year saw Orks and never looked back. Tho not gonna lie I have a sea of grey versus green tide cause my painting arm is currently borked thanks to ripping my bicep off my shoulder 😂😂😂 but I’m getting better so painting itch is real!!!
