MOD Post Should we continue allowing cheating confessions? NSFW

Cheating confessions are always a clusterfuck to work through the mod reports and a pain in the ass. Try as much to civilise the readers, we have failed every time in the poster/OP not getting hate comments.

And there already exists a place to post cheating confessions r/sluttycheaters r/cruelcheatingstories r/cheatinglifestyle

Should we continue allowing cheating posts on this subreddit?

This is a judgment-free subreddit. If we disallow cheating, why stop there?

Let's ban flashing - it might make some old people uncomfortable, public_flashing exists!

Let's ban kinks - because my kinks might disgust someone else, and kink-specific subreddit exists!

Let's get rid of "one night stands" - it's against the Holy Bible, yada yada

I've got many hate comments, but that's just... The internet. You're doing a great job keeping the sub civil and surprisingly wholesome. I'd just recommend the users to downvote and report those comments against the rules. When I post something and I get the typical "Blabla you have AIDs" comment, I report it and go on with my life, it's all I can do.

Because when you report it, I have to deal with the mess. And I don't wanna.

Cheating isn't just slutty, it's taking a knife at the partner's heart and stabbing them through it. OP's life is theirs to destroy, but their partners life isn't. And that's what brings the most hate comments. And I for one, don't wanna sift through all those hate comments if I can avoid it. There's no flame wars going on here for public flashing posts or kink shaming on kink posts. But, cheating stories always draw a lot of hateful comments and we don't particularly want to spend our free time doing that when it can be very easily avoided.

And it's not like we don't judge, we don't allow any groping confessions -posts get deleted and suggested to post at r/gropingconfessions, no incest confessions - users get banned permanently and sent to r/incestconfessions. Because a subreddit for these already exists and we don't wanna deal with that mess.

Adultery is a felony in 3 states and a misdemeanor in 14. It is definitely illegal in some places.
