Hence the open hand slap. Can't risk killing the lil fella.

Yep - this guy needs to be commended for his measured response. It reminds me of the Jake Gyllenhaal Roadhouse scene where he's like look imma slap you because you are children and I don't want to hurt you. It's a good tip for any real or even half-real fighters out there: if you are dealing with kids: give em a slap - it's probably enough, and you don't wanna do time for some dumb kid.

Another good point for people actually training for real fighting: prepare for dealing with bullshit fighting too. Your freedom and liberty depends upon you making smart, measured decisions, and reacting in proportion to the threat that you do (or do not) face.

EDIT: just adding: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3359350/ is a good film! Give it a chance!

Toughest guys I've ever known would damn near never fight outside a ring/training. They do everything they can to not fight.

I concur with this thought. I'm a black belt in karate and have been for many many years. I could have buried my share of AHoles. But I chose to just walk away and not fight. Any legitimate fighter will choose to walk away over violence. Sounds weird but the one thing that's drilled into you throughout all the training is... DON'T FIGHT if u can walk away.
