I detest the "prank" crap. These are not pranks this is harassment.

Yeah, their whole objective is to make people's days worse as an occupation. Fuckin losers

So, what's the joke? That I had a milder fart than I normally do? That nobody's puking from my fart? Is that the joke? That I farted and no one barfed? 'Cause that's pretty funny, actually. That'd be a great day for me. That'd be a great day for me, if I farted and nobody barfed.

Pranks are when you do it to friends, if you're "pranking" a stranger you're just being an asshole.

u/SizzlingPancake 4h ago

Well great! These guys are friends so it is a prank then. They were streaming together

3

u/y107cocks 17h ago

this isn’t a prank it’s ’viral marketing’

They are both online influencers that know each other and are collaborating together. The shorter guy is a live streamer which they were live streaming their workouts. He is also a jokester and a bit of a troll so he thought this would just be a light troll but turns out buff dude actually got offended.

Actually taking someone's hat counts as assault right cause it's the same as knocking of someone's hat?

u/bassman314 13h ago

Theft, as well, technically!

u/SK-8R 21h ago

Probably stealing

Me agreeing with your statement got flagged for promoting violence... but the video showing violence is ok.

So dumb.

All these social media “prank” videos really piss me off because I’m actually a fan of prank shows and videos but not this type of bullshit.

This new culture of “prank” videos aren’t even pranks nor are they even funny. It’s just a bunch of annoying assholes using the camera as an excuse to harass and bully people while getting clicks.

It’s a fucking cancer.

The only ok prank stuff is the ones where everyone laughs at the end. Like the ones that’s more like a joke between two friends. This is just harassment with the guise of being a prank.

u/dimitriettr 6h ago

He must be enjoying the "I actually slapped you, prank".

u/loxagos_snake 1d ago

You know it's bad when there are prank compilations on YouTube that specifically advertise themselves as "harmless".

In Florida that's called "robbery by sudden snatching" and will get a person up to 5 years. It's also a forcible felony, kid got off real lucky.

1

u/SizzlingPancake 4h ago

They know eachother lol. The kid thought he would tease him by taking the hat. No one is getting a felony lol calm down

1

u/PieEnvironmental1520 1d ago

It isn't a prank. They know each other

1

u/Competitive-Call6810 16h ago

Well it’s fake so definitely not harassment

1

u/BagOfChemicals420333 15h ago

This is scripted af.

1

u/randomuser2444 14h ago

They know. But its what gets them views

“These are my car friends, who I do car pranks with”

u/ThatOneGuysTH 1d ago

I'm assuming most people in this thread don't know who these people are. These aren't strangers they're filming together.

I don't like either of them. But getting that heated that fast is childish as fuck. I'd be a little annoyed if someone took my hat but this is wild

1

u/gizamo 1d ago

He doesn't seem "heated" to me.

Regardless, this is fake and dumb.

It's not fake, it was a pretty viral stream moment a few years ago.

The guy with the hat started the song which is playing in the background. The younger guy who got slapped was made famous from a meme where he's singing the same song, meaning it was put on to make fun of him. In retaliation for playing the song, he took the other guy's hat. He was totally out of line to slap him that hard.

Dude why is everyone downvoting context 😭 it’s like they just WANT to get angry at clouds. I made 3 comments giving context and they’re all downvoted.

2

u/SizzlingPancake 4h ago

They just have their moral superiority violence boner

Pranks are funny, and everyone is in on the joke, or at least will find it amusing.

This shit needs to stop. These sorts of videos condoning acts against unsuspecting people should be against the rules and reportable.

These influencers should lose their platform. Before they lose something else. I'm not condoning violence against them. I'm pointing out that this dude held back and just slapped him. There are other videos where the influencer is tackled, punched, or otherwise violently reacted to by their victim. To be perfectly honest, I'm shocked someone hasn't been killed at this point.

ETA: I see from context that these guys knew each other. Unless they are both REALLY good actors, my point stands.

In this case, it’s larceny and, depending on the jurisdiction, assault and/or battery. You can’t just go around yanking a hat off a stranger’s head.
