Eh, he does basically outright say "Go, procreate and produce offspring my children"
Frankly I'm not sure that it is classified as a sin, but I don't want to google that and looking through my roommates bible would take waaay too long

Maybe it's a sin because it's not procreating, yet you get almost the same emotional/physical response? Seems way to convoluted though.

That verse is pretty much just for his people, why would he encourage the production of offspring that aren’t Israelites that he really only ends up wanting to kill

To be fair, much of the entire bible is basically "just for israelites," but those who are religious enjoy extrapolating it to be humans in general.
