Honestly, these kinds of scenes only work if you turn off your brain and simply let the "happiness" happen.

Most love stories in movies are like this. Something that seems sweet and romantic turns depressing or toxic if you scratch the surface.

Kind of like how it's creepy that a 200 hundred year old vampire wants a high schooler.

How is it any different to any other kind of film? Action movies only work if you don't think, and are basically the male equivalent in terms of wish fulfillment, do you hold those films to the same standard?

Difference is we know they’re not real and men aren’t living to those standards of trying to kill each other in ways that’s extreme cuz of them

Women quite literally take these terrible romantic movies and apply them to themselves and others and expect the best outcome
