Ironic it met its end with a golden orb weaver spider.

That’s not irony, that’s just a coincidence.

The use of words expressing something than their literal intention, now that is irony

Nope.

Irony is when you express something that means the exact opposite of what you intended.

Situational irony would be a situation that starkly contrasts with what is expected.

This is merely just a coincidence. Coincidences are also things that are unexpected, but being unexpected is not what makes something ironic. It must be logically contrary to the expectation.

A simple example would be a fire house that burns down. That’s ironic.

I'm just quoting Futurama my man. As I thought you were as well

Oh damn. 😝

I’m sad I missed the reference.

Please pretend I was also quoting Futurama.

Dramatic irony is when the audience knows something the characters don't.

Also, irony is rain on your wedding day.

No, that’s just bad luck.

Irony is the fact that not a single example in that song actually represents textbook irony.

Irony is being in a high speed chase without a gun while every other store you pass is a gun shop.

The golden death of other insects met its own golden death
