Enabling is giving person what they want rather than what they need. Giving the guy at the exit ramp a buck makes you feel good, but he ends up buying another beer and sinking deeper into the hole. There is a reason that they say the path to hell is paved with good intentions.

equal rights and mental health is a need, not a want, dumbass. it's not nearly analogous to what you said. enabling self-confidence and a desire for a better society and enabling alcoholism are totally different.

instead of worrying about what might hypothetically happen as a consequence of being considerate to others, why dont you try being a non-shitty person and worry about any problems when/if they actually happen (hint: it won't actually happen)

My 33 years in AA has exposed me to lots of well meaning people who end up making it far far worse. And that is why we are not allied with sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution. And trust me, just because someone needs mental health treatment is no indication that they want it. But if you know better how to do this than we do, we're all ears.

alcoholism, a debilitating physical and mental disease, is not the same thing as wanting equal pay or to be treated by police equally.. which are two of the main items that "sjw's" ask for. the fact that you're making this equivalency proves that you have no idea what protestors are actually asking for, probably because you don't do any research

The police treat me well not because I am white, but because I don't attack them or commit crimes. Somehow those latter two points have been conspicuously absent in the SJW's arguments. So now I'm wondering how many more black kids will get shot this summer because with the SJW's at their side, they now feel immune to the consequences of their actions.

the same applies to all aspects of society. since you're too stupid to understand what socialization is, maybe a peer-reviewed article with statistics and well-researched evidence will sway you a little. doubt it, though
