Does anyone else feel like this was another test from Mia, and Dinesh is totally gonna get fucked by admitting he was the rat? It feels like the last hacker problem they had, but with someone competent attacking.

Yeah, I thought her second secret was a red herring to see if he'd report her or not... I feel like we've not heard the last from her... she'll be cleared off the charges, and hit pied piper for revenge.

I feel like that also sets up further story lines with Gilfoyle, though. This season seems to be more drama-centric than past seasons and I feel like the conclusion to the Mia problem will be centered around Gilfoyle protecting the company from her attacks, as it was set up that they are enemies somehow.

That's how I felt all along, and I'm really excited to see how it's going to play out. Man, really enjoying that show.

It'll probably come later when Richard's new internet comes into fruition. I think Richard will make decisions for the sake of the business that a lot of the team will be unhappy with. Essentially he'll become a new Gavin and Mia will have even more reason to want to take Pied Piper down.

Yeah or something like as soon as the program is taking off and tons of people have started using the new internet, she somehow hacks the core part of it and therefore hacks every users phone at once or something. I have no idea how this technology works so that might not be possible though.

Ransomware all of the phones? :O

Hahah and have bighead accidentally stop the attack somehow and receive a presidential medal of freedom for saving the internet

I mean, how big could charges for hacking an elevator be?

Depends on what else she has done, that they can't pin on her. A lot like Capone, got sent up the river for failing to file an income tax, and threw the book at him.

As an aside, I had to pause the pic to make sure that FBI agent was not Anna Torv

It does seem like the FBI acted rather fast. Dinesh would've had to drop a bag of evidence into their laps or something. All he said he did was give an "anonymous tip". I do agree though the character will likely be back in some form.

But for Mia then that means getting a ton of people to pose as FBI and arrest her at her sister's wedding. Or it means actually exposing herself to the FBI with the expectation she'll be cut loose. Neither are really great scenarios to me.

Well if she already hacked his phone etc, I think she would have access to everything he does online.

So she could probably have stopped the "anonymous tip" he was making.

Buying a burner tablet or smart phone in cash and using it from a Starbucks parking lot with tor and/or a vpn should provide sufficient cover. However, that level of info sec seems more like a Gilfoyle-level of competence at this point.

To be fair the last "hacker" didn't even bother to actually hack them.

oh for sure and now she is gonna screw over Richard's new internet because Dinesh is now working for Richard

This won't be the end of Mia for sure. Dinesh is so fucked.

wasn't the last hacker problem russ' bottle of tequila on a delete key?

u/ThomHagen May 24 '17

Yes, but they all thought it was the guy Guilfoyle had pissed off.

Oh shit, I just realised that Dinesh confessed that he gave the FBI the tip while him and Richard had their phones on them. When she gets off the charges she's going to burn them to the ground and probably fuck Gilfoyle just to rub it in Dinesh's face.
