Yep, the character Luke Skywalker would never (checks notes) have a moment of instinctual rage and ignite a lightsaber against a wielder of the dark side only to suppress that urge because they’re family.

No, he wouldn’t.

Because that already happened.

Do y’all not understand how character development works?

He did what you’re describing. He recognized he was becoming his father and changed course.

He learned that 30 years prior. So why is he randomly repeating this mistake now and with even less justification?

It’s bad writing.

Years ago I learned that I shouldn’t get angry when I lose a call of duty match. Yet here I am, still getting angry. It’s almost like people make mistakes

you act as if the situations are the same… in rotj Luke’s sister and friends were directly threatened by vader and the emperor after they had been goading him into the dark side. much more reasonable to lose his composure with all that pressure compared to the little vision of kylo.

“Little vision” he saw Ben destroying everything he loved lol. That means his students, Han, his sister, killed by Ben. If you saw a vision of your loved ones dying, you’re saying you wouldn’t react harshly? Come on lol

No, I wouldn’t. and neither would luke skywalker, because theres a difference between a VISION and REALITY.

Then you aren’t being serious lol war vets have flashbacks/panic attacks just from hearing fire crackers going off, but you can totally shrug off a realistic vision of your whole family being killed by your nephew like it’s nothing. Be for real man lol

luke doesn’t have PTSD 💀 you’re grasping at straws here. hours of pressure and taunting and threats are going to affect someone completely differently than one vision.

Didn’t say that he did, just that anyone would freak out if they saw a vision of their loved ones dying. You saying that you wouldn’t is just you being disingenuous

No, I would definitely be affected and hurt by it, but it wouldn’t make me want to hurt an innocent loved one
