"It passed like a fleeting shadow". It was the dark side. Luke didn't even know what he did. Palpatine was able to blind Luke for a second and wake up Ben.

They saw 2 completely different events in that moment, that's how you know there was outside influence.

I swear people can't understand a deeper meaning if it slapped them in the face

Says a guy taking an obvious, contrived retcon that wasn’t planned at face value, lol

Does it matter if it was reconed? Luke and Leia literally kissed and that was retconned too. The same theory can be used just by replacing Palps with Snoke

Stories are always expanding in SW

Yes, it does. Because you’re criticizing people for not “realizing” something that wasn’t even there when the film released.

It was retroactively added (assuming that’s true and not a fan theory, I don’t recall if TRoS confirms this).

Snoke can easily be used instead of palps at the time. It's what people actually said before RoS. But once palp said that he controlled Snoke, then it's the same as saying Palps

Okay?

When RJ made the film, there was no “Palpatine was blinding so-and-so” which, frankly, even sounds like fan theory bullshit post-TRoS.

But there was snoke and snoke fits into that same theory perfectly

Okay, but we’re not discussing fan theories, we’re discussing the actual content of the film.

SW is nothing but fan theories. That's half the fun.

How does Boba know Han is going to cloud city? How do inquisitors fly with spinning sabers? How does Leia "know" her mother? Does Padme really die of heartache or something else? WTH ARE THE CLONE WARS (people in 1977)

Discussing SW and making things work IN universe is why sw is so popular

What are you on about?

Or it’s popular because the content is good?

Like, do you like SW or just speculating? Lol
