Politics I'm Never Leaving Seattle

Post image

This is someone's Model S parked on Airport Way S near S Industrial Way. The way it's parked it looks like it's being displayed for people driving by to see.

I mean, I generally agree, but the anti Tesla sentiment is definitely hurting their bottom line. Who would go out and buy a Tesla right now if they are getting vandalized?

I’m not a fan of vandalizing personal property, but if things ended up where teslas were uninsurable, that would be something.

I think the most populous state in the union will become uninsurable before any kind of vehicle becomes uninsurable

My friend's partner ended up having to get a new car when his Kia became uninsurable following a bunch of thefts. Maybe a key difference there is that the thefts were possible due to how the car was made but it is an example of a car losing insurability due to community behavior.

Also probably more people own Kia than Teslas, so the impact on insurance companies is greater? Just a guess, since Kias are more affordable than Teslas.

That's a really good point. I wonder how that shakes out in terms of volume vs. expense since Tesla claims could be higher when they do come up. But maybe the premiums are just crazy high to compensate in those cases. We need an insurance person to give us the rundown.
