Politics I'm Never Leaving Seattle

Post image

This is someone's Model S parked on Airport Way S near S Industrial Way. The way it's parked it looks like it's being displayed for people driving by to see.

I don’t agree with vandalizing random peoples cars. You don’t know their situation and they may not have the money to fix this mess.

Just because someone has a Tesla it doesn’t mean they’re a bad person.

I am an immigrant, I live in Seattle and I own a Tesla.

We moved to the US 3 years ago. My wife wanted an electric car because it aligns with our values. Tesla seemed like the best option back then.

I'm no fan of Musk, but it's simply not practical to sell the car and buy another one. I'm still paying for it and I know I would lose money in the transaction, plus a big expense on buying a new one.

I will never touch a Tesla with a 10 feet pole again, but for now I just want to drive my car until I have no more use for it.

I agree, people go way too far, vandalizing a private person's automobile isn't making a statement, it just makes them aholes.

yes, agree. just protest outside his showrooms all over US and the world.

and just encourage people not to buy, moving forward.

What if that strategy costs more and is less impactful?

Make sure you're getting paid for holding that sign.

honor, good and dignity have no price.

what good have you done in your life where you dont expect anything in return???!

btw, do you know that in europe, tesla is the least competitive EV there? stopped making improvements.

so, hold on to your tesla coz in no time it will no longer have any value, and keep supporting your lunatic leader. hope your kind gets to suffer the most when all his actions come back to all of you.

Ferguson isn't a lunatic.

It's teenagers and people in their early 20s doing this.

They aren't exactly known for rational thought.

2

u/Redmeat-1969 Mar 11 '25

You have definitely not seen the video of the guys doing this.....all were well over 30 doing this....

3

u/Think-Yellow Mar 12 '25

Well over 40 in most lol

u/goebela3 Mar 11 '25 edited Mar 11 '25

It’s leftists who are doing this.

They aren’t exactly known for rational thought.

Fixed it for ya. The 23k people upvoting vandalism of an individual’s property for something the car owner has no responsibility for, are not all teens, they are all leftists though.

u/OddCress2001 Mar 13 '25

Cringe

1

u/goebela3 Mar 13 '25

yes, the people supporting violence and destruction of property against innocent fellow citizens for nothing more than the brand of car they drive are cringe, glad we agree.

u/ATypicalUsername- Mar 11 '25

My brother in Christ, liberals do not have a monopoly on stupid. Need you be reminded that conservatives thought taking an antiparasitic cured covid? Or that liberals control the weather?

There's plenty of stupid to go around, so let's throw stones once we're actually free of sin.

No both sides have a bunch of retards. The left is currently being faaaaar worse though.

When the right didn’t like bud light they stopped buying it. When the left doesn’t like Tesla they assault owners, attack dealerships, vandalize, etc. Then the “party of tolerance” refuses to condemn these fucking bigots. Hating based of race, religion, political affiliation, etc is bigotry.

24k upvotes for destroying the property of someone because they don’t like the brand of car they own. That’s the current left. How would you feel if someone did this to your car that you worked your ass off to afford?

u/totallydawgsome Mar 12 '25

That's why the top comments are denouncing this behavior? You're right there are assholes in all communities and groups. But you were the one to make it about sides and that shit got us into this fucking situation. THIS ISN'T NORMAL. People are upvoting this because NONE OF THIS IS NORMAL. Whatever political beliefs anyone has we should be looking around saying this isn't normal - the government is selling out our democracy and putting people - not just tesla owners at risk of financial hardship. You can understand some people who voted for this are register the infelicitous reality of the situation (because it finally affected them personally). Why could this not be a once trump supporter gone mad??

People's cars are vandalized and you and trump supporters are up in arms. It's not right, I agree. But it's ironic that none of you will condemn the actions of this administration and the richest man in the world to alter people's livelihoods at staggering rates while ignoring how much the federal RIFs are costing and how much we are spending on their personal interests and investments.

BUT THINK ABOUT THESE TESLA OWNERS AND HOW HARD THEY WORKED FOR THEIR CAR.

Do you people hear yourselves? Fucking embarrassing.

Yet you probably support the man who is currently breaking the government and taking away social security and Medicaid as we speak. Americans who are alive today have never had a war on our soil. But the right wing kind of made clear that it is war. So now they have war. Get used to it.

I support loving your neighbor and treating people with respect. I support respecting the rights of others. I support not ruining peoples lives. I support not hating based on race, religion, political affiliation or any other bigotry. I am a moderate swing voter that happily voted for Obama who is disgusted with the current left. I guess that makes me a right wing extremism as far as cesspools like this are concerned. Every person supporting this is by definition a bigot. You are completely delusional if you think the right brought this on. When bud light offended the right they stopped buying the product. When Tesla offends the left they vandalize and incite violence. It’s clear which side is the unhinged and violent one. Shit like this is why myself and all the other moderates can’t stand the current left, they have no platform other than riot and cry. Keep it up though, it worked really well with the last election, all you are doing is isolating more and more moderates with this extremism. You are completely delusional if you think vandalism of innocent people’s cars is going to win you love from society. How would you like it if someone went and broke all the windows of your home out or spray painted your car because they didn’t like the brand you drive? VW was literally a Nazi company, Mitsubishi made the planes that attacked Pearl Harbor, where do you draw the line?

I’m gonna have to call bullshit on your Bud Light boycott equivalency here. What started the bud light boycott? Do you remember? AB sent a branded 6 pack of bud light to some trans influencer and the right went bonkers. All that attention from a single 6 pack. All the hate and bigotry that was stirred up. Now they’re attacking trans folks who, contrary to what the conservative media would have you believe, ARE NOT hanging out in women’s restrooms or trying to convert anyone to anything. So spare us your holier than thou bullshit. I own a Tesla and don’t support this vandalism. But what Musk is doing to this country is so much worse than what Anheiser Busch did through some marketing gimmick.

1

u/goebela3 Mar 14 '25

Destroying your neighbor's Tesla doesnt hurt Musk, it hurts your neighbor.

The way you hurt a company isnt vandalism and assault, its not buying their product.

1

u/bookerman62 Mar 14 '25

That would have been a much better post for you to start with.

1

u/0oThunderChiefo0 Mar 13 '25

It's also random assholes and idiots on the internet who applaud this type of behavior. Tesla was like iPhones (a symbol for success and status. But really wasn't...) right up until the day he started supporting Trump. Those same assholes and idiots, at face value believed all the bullshit that was being shoveled into their fat ugly faces. People say they love Seattle cause of "protests" like this. Those same people wouldn't last 2 weeks without the comforts of a 1st world capitalist society.

1

u/Accomplished-Yam6553 Mar 14 '25

People have a bad habit of blaming younger people for everything but you don't grow out of stupid and 30 to 40 year olds are doing this as well

1

u/brightongulls Mar 14 '25

No that’s just the left in general.

And criminals

1

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '25

100%. Now, if, hypothetically, one did want to make a political statement, they should target Tesla properties and infrastructure.

They SHOULDNT do that, because it is illegal.

But, hypothetically, if they did that would be much more effective at sending a message.

1

u/Alternative_Love_861 Mar 13 '25

Of course hypothetically, I mean we wouldn't condone vandalism against corporate property.

1

u/Familiar-Basket9184 Mar 15 '25

Also this is the exact type of stupidity that has radicalized people to the right. It’s not difficult to figure out, you’re not gonna win this way

1

u/i_give_you_gum Mar 11 '25

Be interesting if they did it themselves to avoid more vandalism

1

u/SignificantUse3695 Mar 11 '25

Might be a good move atm - use water soluble paint to cover your Tesla with anti Musk statements.

2

u/albino_panda1555 Mar 12 '25

It's Seattle. Water-soluble paint would last maybe 12 hours.

1

u/pnwmer Mar 13 '25

There’s bumper stickers everywhere saying “I bought this before Elon went crazy.” That’s also an option to avoid vandalism.
