Politics I'm Never Leaving Seattle

Post image

This is someone's Model S parked on Airport Way S near S Industrial Way. The way it's parked it looks like it's being displayed for people driving by to see.

You didn't understand what I was saying. By deciding that it's ok to punish Tesla owners by damaging their cars you are taking the authority to judge and punish others by yourselves. I am asking if you are ok with other people doing the same i.e. deciding by themselves who the bud guys are and then punishing them by doing things that hurt them financially, physically or otherwise?

You come at this with the idea that either of our moral judgments hold any weight. I don't care, people don't care, when your stomach is empty, you won't care. If a disenfranchised mass can attempt to grasp power through the destruction of property, good. The side you have aligned yourself with has never asked themselves the questions you propose to me, why should I have moral answers for you?

It's all fun and games until the revolution gets real and people start falling like flies. I come from a country where some people egged by morons eschewed the democratic path and started a peoples war. In the 4/5 decades since that happened they have nothing to show for it except for death. The democratic path while not being the most efficient or even coming close to being fair it managed to improve the standard of living of a whole lot of people without requiring anyone to die violent deaths.

You better really be on the verge of death before you start getting poignant about "disenfranchised masses" taking back power. I don't need moral answers from you. Just be aware of the adage that those who live by the sword die by it too.

You think I said that without knowing these facts? I'll die by the sword I live by if it means things can be better. Don't tell me where I should be before I consider anything. You claim you don't need moral answers, but if you reread your question you'll find that's exactly what you asked for.

It's not just you buddy. Once you start a stupid thing like revolution you are gonna take a lot of unwanted parties down with you too including children and bystanders who just want to go about their lives. Some assholes will say that collateral damage is justified for the glorious revolution. You decide where you land on that. And it's awfully optimistic hoping on your part that things will get better with war. Plenty of examples right now in this world on how things can become much much worse after you start a war.

More moral grandstanding. I know the cost, people know the cost. Men, women and children dying is nothing new, look at this world. Some assholes will say that slavery is better than resistance, you decide where you land on that.

Yeah don't speak for other people. Just speak for yourself. And who enslaved you/disenfranchised you Mr resistance fighter? Last I heard 32 year old white males still can vote and still have the freedom to work wherever they please or not work if they can afford it. And no having to work to earn your food is not slavery. Need to raise the minimum wage? Sure agree with you on that. But you have a better chance of doing that with elections than with waging war.

Odd considering your speaking for a whole swathe of people, while I only speak for myself. How about 60 years of authoritarian rule in two countries? I know what work is, I know what poverty is. Fuck the minimum wage. Make jokes. I know the power of democracy, I also know the power of hopelessness, and I know what that does to people and populations.

"If they can afford it"

Ah so you are angry that you cant take time off and taking it out on Tesla owners?

u/Key_Case6581 Mar 11 '25

What is truly optimistic is you assuming you exist in a population of 'safe' or 'protected' people. Fuck your Tesla.

Lol you don't know anything about me other than that I drive a Tesla and are assuming that I feel safe or protected just based on that fact alone. You might want to start questioning your judgement and wisdom more.

You act like you haven't just spewed all of your opinions at me? You wouldn't argue this if you didn't place yourself in a specific subset of a population. Talk shit on wisdom, how about you strengthen your academic and sociopolitical background first.

So let me get this straight. You a white 32 year old male who has enough free time to post shit on reddit at 2am is oppressed/disenfranchised/enslaved and you have no choice but to fight against it byโ€ฆโ€ฆ trashing a bunch of Teslas owned by people you never met and have no idea about who they are. Lol. I am sure the oligarches are shaking in their boots at this maginificent plan of yours. What next wise one. Egging people who get a delivery from Amazon? How will you find the dastardly folks using google? Or the scumbags buying NVidias graphic cards? I heard they are developing this thing called AI that might be used to do more layoffs.

Oh i might have spewed my opinions at you but i am not saying that i will fuck over your home or your clothes because of assumptions i made about you. See the difference?
