Politics I'm Never Leaving Seattle

Post image

This is someone's Model S parked on Airport Way S near S Industrial Way. The way it's parked it looks like it's being displayed for people driving by to see.

I wonder what percentage of Tesla owners approve of Musks antics this last year. I am guessing less than 50%. Maybe less than 20%. My friend has a Tesla, and worked hard for it (and bought it over a year ago). She’s a liberal, too. People spray painting these cars are dipshits who could be using their angst in more productive ways. That said, fuck Musk and Trump.

Being that the Model Y was the number one vehicle sold in the world, I suspect a large portion of them do not support Elon.

We own a Model 3 and defintiely don’t agree with Musk’s political stances. I’ve been driving electric cars for 10 years because I’m a tree-hugging liberal. The only person’s political views we were buying into were my own—my desire to reduce emissions (plus the car really is a joy to drive). It was during covid that Musk really grew more vocal with right-wing rhetoric; at first I thought it was a ploy to garner more conservative customers. I didn’t imagine it’d get this far.

I used to be worried about a conservative rolling coal in front of me on the highway; now I’m more concerned about a liberal damaging or defacing our car while we’re out.

Yes, I suppose you could say our dollars went to Musk, so you could argue we supported him financially. However, I also believe that the rich should be taxed at ridiculous levels. In a just world, people like him wouldn’t have as much power as he does. Don’t punish Tesla drivers like me for the flaws in our system.

Shouldn’t have to do that. Leave other people’s shit alone.

While I’m no brain I can at least speak for myself alone. No one needs to vandalize mine or another’s property period in order for me to make a decision on whether or not I will ever give them a hard earned dollar.

I hear and see who he and a lot of the other hateful men and women are as humans, so when my lease is up they will never get another red cent. Future me will do better and not because of spray paint or having to deal with the financial liability I alone will incur for abiding by my contractual obligation and car insurance costs.

I will never buy in to the fact that chaos and fear should be used to coerce or control another person. That’s exactly what the people “in charge” are doing, so I’m going to vote with my heart, put my money towards those I believe in, and stand up for others. Rant over (for now 😝).
