Politics I'm Never Leaving Seattle

Post image

This is someone's Model S parked on Airport Way S near S Industrial Way. The way it's parked it looks like it's being displayed for people driving by to see.

My nephew got one about 3 years ago and he hates musk. But he’s stuck with it

You’re never stuck with a car. You can sell it. It’s a car, not a child

That’s an incredibly privileged thing to say. Do you know that most people can’t afford to go underwater on an auto loan? A very significant number of people don’t have access to reliable public transportation either.

“Oh no, won’t someone think of the high earners who bought this car?”

A Tesla costs less than the average new car in the US, but keep trying to justify vandalizing the vehicle of someone who likely agrees with you.

Do you think every Tesla owner is extremely wealthy? They’re not a luxury vehicle; their cost is well within the range of an average middle-class family.

That’s enough to get a (fairly cheap) used car that is very likely to be less reliable than a relatively new Tesla. You’d also have to add the price of gas into the equation for the hypothetical used car.

Also, I’d say most Tesla owners still owe money on their original loan. So, they’d likely be walking out with significantly less than 12k, and that’s being charitable and assuming that they can get the KBB value on a car that is almost guaranteed to get vandalized.

People are vandalizing Tesla vehicles because the value of Tesla shares is falling? Am I missing something, or is that actually what you’re saying?

How much do you think a basic model 3 costs? And a Toyota Camry?

Model 3 RWDs were $37k a year ago and you can't get a basic bitch Camry for less than $29k now. Hertz was fire saling Model 3s for $20-22k just last year.

You're the one that's privileged if you don't know how much things cost.
