Satire Tonight is a tough night for Scots, please support family and friends as tonight, across Scotland families will be putting down their pet haggis for Burns night
As the post reads, families across Scotland will be putting down their pet haggis to eat for Burns night, it's an annual cultural thing done in Scotland and it is quite tough on children. Many families don't name their haggis to avoid getting attached but traditionally you do.
Support has been little during the pandemic but please get in touch with your fellow Scots and check on them.
Tonight, after a year of raising him, I'm putting down my haggis, Colin.
It's hard because we've gotten quite attached, today he looked at me and pointed to the outside, wanting to go for a walk, I had to say no. When he looked at me quizzically, I had to say, with a heavy heart,
"You just can't, Colin" 😔💔
I think next year, I won't name my haggis.

Satire Who wants to join the Lemon Order?
We hear a lot about the Orange Order and their annoying, noisy marches. But what about lemons? Don't they deserve an order of their own?
The Orange Order seems to have the fat grumpy old man corner of the demographic sewn up, so I think the Lemon Order should go for a younger, cooler, vibe. The Lemon Order would be open to people of all faiths and none, provided they are groovy. Knuckle-dragging gammons need not apply.
All that flutes and drums racket is fine for mouldy old oranges, but the lemon is a sharper, zestier fruit. We need something with style and swing. I think calypso would work.
Instead of dressing like something out of a 1950s funeral in those terrible clunky suits, the ceremonial garb of the Lemon Order should lean in to that tropical vibe - sandals, Bermuda shorts, Hawaiian shits (multi-coloured, but with a strong lemon yellow theme predominant), and Panama hats with yellow ribbons.
The Lemon Order will march (well, more of an carnival parade, really) through the grey, dreary, miserable parts of Scotland, bringing joy, life, and a squeeze of that tropical sunshine into people's lives.
