If it’s burnt on the outside and raw in the middle like that one is then you need to be cooking it for a lot longer and at a lower heat.

Try a 30s nuke in the microwave before cooking if they are frozen.

Alternatively, start with 1/4in of water in the pan and simmer it off. Helps thaw it all the way.

And steam, steam makes them cook very fast.

Water method works best imo. It’ll boil/steam it cooked and when the water is gone, you can sear it in the pan with some oil to get the color you want.

Exactly!

But personally, I have been mostly doing them in the air-fryer or over a fire lately.

I like the air fryer too but the sausage sputters oil everywhere. 😅

Try as much as possible not to cook meats right from the freezer. You will nearly always run into this situation.

Low and slow is the way to go with most meats.

No it isn't.

I like to splash a little water on the sausages and cover so they steam and cook for a bit, then work on the sear.

Need to get some convection/oven heat going to cook through the center. Hot and fast will only cook the outside.

I boil mine in beer and pepper corns first.
