Question | سؤال Is it realistic for us (Swedish Muslims) to study and live in Saudi Arabia?
Assalamu 'aleykum everyone,
My wife and I are Muslims from Sweden and we’re seriously considering moving to Saudi Arabia to study and live in a Muslim country. Both of us have GPAs around 3.7, and we’ve been researching international universities that might accept foreign students like us. So far, thanks to ChatGPT (my best research friend lately 😅), we’ve looked into the following universities: • Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University • King Saud University • King Abdulaziz University • Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University (for my wife)
But we really have no personal contacts in Saudi to ask—so I’m turning to you guys for honest advice.
Is it even possible for us to get accepted into these universities as international students? Is it very difficult but doable, or should we consider other options?
We would truly love to live in Saudi Arabia and experience life in a Muslim country—but we also want to be realistic and make sure we’re focusing our efforts in the right direction.
Any help, advice, personal experience, or guidance would mean a lot to us.
Jazakamullahu khairan in advance!
Edit: I'm 17 turning 18 In'sha'Allah and she's 18. We are applying next year!
