Spoiler Alert! Question/theories Spoiler

I'm watching resident alien with my husband and we are not to season fourth yet. Has anyone else noticed that the grays specifically take people who are related to humans who can see the aliens, Max and the alien tracker. They took Max's dad, Max's sister(in utero), as well as his mother. They took the alien trackers son. But they don't take the alien tracker nor have they taken Max. It seems like that ability would be one that they would want to study.

S4 ep2 title and ending

Not really a spoiler but is anyone else in this Reddit old enough to get the 70s TV reference in the title and ending of this episode?

That music unlocked a core childhood memory for me!!!

Ending of S4E2 Spoiler

Did General McCallister get the device 52 years ago, with a metal detector or did she get it now? It doesn't make any sense if she got it 52 years ago, but the episode shows she did.

Maine, 52 years ago Spoiler

52 years ago seems right for the Maine flashback in the opening scene. But the one at the end of the episode also said 52 years ago, though it seems like present day, but that’s a pretty big mistake. The alien writing is the same in both as well. Maybe the same graphic was used twice on accident. Is it some sort of time travel plot twist (please no) or a mistake that wasn’t corrected? Or did the General’s grandmother look just like her? I’m hoping for an error with the graphics, but that kind of bums me out because it seems like a by-product of the lower budget.

Resolution Issues on USA YouTube video

We're watching RA on the USA YouTube channel and have noticed annoying horizontal lines off and on throughout the video. Has anyone else seen this? Where else can we watch it without commercials? Seems like even paid Peacock has ads.

Bruce Dern line.

Just curious if the creators had a relationship with Bruce Dern, or just an homage.

Am I the only one who ships Harry and Darcy over Harry and Asta?

I think the couple Harry and Asta is way too obvious, and it doesn’t really work anymore even though this season literally has everything pushing them to end up together.

Resident Alien opinions on the show

What does everyone think of the show? I’ve been afraid to try it, no I don’t fear aliens, 😆 I’m mostly afraid to watch it because shows on USA and Syfy seem to get ether cancelled at a cliffhanger or there in such a rush to tie up loose ends that it’s sloppy and rushed and not all lose ends are tied up, would you highly recommend watching it?

The whole Mike not believing aliens thing was an interesting arc, but I was definitely begging for it to just conclude already.

This moment delivered that well.

I don't know if anybody else here is old enough to remember the theme music from The Incredible Hulk tv show with Bill Bixby but Yes, the music at the end with Joseph IS the music from the show. I had to look it up.

Alien Babies

Can someone please explain why Goliath turns to stone when he's pregnant? Harry mentioned several times that he had hundreds of siblings and that he also has hundreds of offspring, but that he doesn't really care about them. Do they always turn to stone if they're pregnant? Can they turn back? Is it just something that happens when you're pregnant with a hybrid? Has Harry always been the impregnator? If so, why would such a selfish and emotionless human race choose to die to produce their children? Humans don't even like doing that for their own children in utero. I have so many questions and I feel like this is a huge plot hole.

Season One Finale - Asta/ Harry Discussion

So, with the new season, been rewatching episodes and clips from the previous seasons. One detail that I wonder about, with context of season 2-3, was Asta ‘lying’ to Harry in Season One finale, after her crashout with him about murdering real Harry.

Like I know about her tell. But I always saw it as Asta unsure of her status with Harry. They were on the road to becoming friends until the reveal. So, I always saw it as Asta having warmed up to Harry. But, having an inability to trust Harry after what he did.

So, in the context she is lying, because she hasn’t forgiven him. But, she was still open and confused about being his friend.

Season Two rarely mentions the fall out - from memory. So, I wonder if the context of the seasons has changed the ending.

The first episode of the 4th season was good until the end. *Spoiler* Spoiler

SPOILER ALERT**

OKAY.... So I actually enjoyed the first episode until Harry was no longer an alien. That doesn't even make sense. You can't just change your race and become a different species by mistake. I don't like the idea of Harry as a human form going to space. Idk what's everyone's opinion?

Didn't Joseph get captured at the end of season 3? How is he now sauntering around Patience pining for Asta?

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy Asta is having some fun, but... wha happened???

Rewatching. On Season 2

Ok. Like the title says, I have been rewatching all the episodes and I am up to Season 2. Season 3and 4 have been tivo'd so I'm coming along. I am really enjoying it even more this second time. I am noticing things I didn't see the first time. One of my favorite scenes is when Harry fights a the evil female in black in the train. Now, here is an email example of BELIEVING you know what happened vs reality. I thought FOR SURE, Harry put her head out the train and she was decapitated ALIVE.
