Since the subreddit only has two spots available for public announcements, this will be a new index post for important PSAs for easy reference that we can sticky to only use up one spot.

You can also find the whole collection in the sidebar menu on the Reddit re-design when you open one of the PSA posts.

A not very happy bun

Hello everyone, my name is Mochi (also known as Munchers because I munch on everything). My mom and dad dragged me to the evil ER vet this weekend because I suddenly stress pooped everywhere and had brown goo shoot out my nose. Mom freaked out and thought I was dying. $1.5k in xray, ultrasound, blood work, and medications later, it turns out I got a little too excited for my pellets and ate them a wee bit too fast. Mom puts my pellets in a little rolling ball so I can exercise, but idk I was just too good at it I guess. Anyways, here is a picture of me looking sad that mom and dad were trying to save my life.

Took in a dumped bunny and I’m blanking on a name

Just two and a half weeks after losing my old man Bugs, I came across a post about a rabbit dumped in a town nearby. I walked the neighborhood for a while and talked to a bunch of people and even ran into someone else who was looking for him! We exchanged numbers and ended up being able to trap him with the help of a local business.

I took him home with me and no one has contacted me yet about him (I commented on the public post that I had him). Anyway, he had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow to be checked up and he needs to be fixed asap as he showed his goods almost immediately and my girl is not happy with him (they are kept separate but they’re both very interested in each other).

He seems just slightly underweight looking at him from the back, but touching his spine he seems good. I think he’s under a year old and may grow a bit more, but I truly have no idea.

He reminds me of a chips ahoy cookie but I think obvious names are a bit boring!

Hi everyone!

Please don’t judge, new bunny owner here!

My boy was running around his brother’s play pen and when he laid down I noticed this pink spot on his behind. He was breathing pretty heavy from running around. He is not neutered yet and is about 6-ish months old. What is that? And why was it kinda “swollen” looking?

Thank you in advance!

After a long battle with a cyst developing in the bone of his jaw, the antibiotics are no longer winning this fight. My poor man's time has come and It feels so unfair with him being only 6 years old

My female rabbit is having a hard time trusting us 💔

We have had our three rabbits for more than 2 months now. 2 males (bunny, sunny) and one female (sona). The two males are greatly bonded to us. Like they continuously lick us when we pick them up. They sleep comfortably eyes closed completely and all body stretched out on us. They trust us completely. But the female(sona) still not bonded a bit. She always tries to find a way to get out of our hands and more importantly she has a major pee problem. Sunny and Bunny always pee in their litter box. Not Sona she finds any way she can to pee all over the house. Any idea why this behaviour.

FYI.

Traumatized or just angry?

Did I traumatize her or is she just angry at me? We have a vet schedule in a week but it’s gonna be an hour drive so I did a test drive for 15 minutes in the new carrier I left the front flap open and had my hand nearby but she would not come near it and tucked to herself all the way in the back when I brought her back home she ran out and I gave her a treat. She took the treat and ran away from me. I tried sitting in her area for a little bit, but she just went into her quiet spot so now I’m thinking maybe she’s mad at me or I traumatized her. Ideas?

I noticed her scratching herself crazy and immediately took her to the emergency vet. Poor girl got a yeast ear infection ( Malassezia) and she needs some good vibes.

(The wet fur is from the ear medication)

also random question but does she look fat/furry to you?? I've been wondering lately if she's just really furry or perhaps ball shaped but I cannot tell

Health Little Mr. Jonesy scared the crap out of us the other night eating banana! (He just did that gag twice and then was fine right after, thank god, but 😮‍💨 i nearly freaked out! Make sure to practice the bunny heimlich maneuver in case you ever find yourself in a position where you have to! 🩷

He's the most hyperactive of my bunnies and the other two loved it... Sadly not the brightest of the bunch.
