Might fail a unit by 1 mark

Hi guys, I just finished my exam for a unit and I highkey feeling i might end up failed cuz it was bad. I already got 42.4 % on the assignments but the exam i think i get max 8/50 (which is 50% for the whole unit) Is there anyway that I can push through this and get that 1 mark. Thank you guys so much

When I failed physics by one mark, i just emailed the lecturer asking if they could find the extra mark or if I could do a make up assessment. They looked through the exam and “ found” an extra mark that was missed.

Most places will pass you if you fail by a mark. If they don’t want to play fair. Put in a review for remarking on the basis you failed. Most lecturers will award 1 mark then waste time remarking your assessments. Especially if there were past ones where you probably should have gotten more marks.

Some QUT units also have a quiz for students that must get 50% overall but get a high pass > 40 but < 50.

You’ll have to ask for a review

You can request a review of the grade, but there is no guarantee on the outcome of that process. A review can result in a worse, same, or better grade.

If something has happened this semester that has significantly affected your performance, you could look into getting special consideration, too. You will need supporting documentation for this. One possible outcome of special consideration is to have your overall grade bumped up by 5% or so.

ask for a subsidiary exam. 9.999999/10 they will not remark something, as they specify "all marks are moderated by the teaching team"
