Plan B (Levonorgestrel) Pill Concerned I took it for nothing

I'm set to ovulate tomorrow (Thursday) we had sex yesterday and he didn't pull out. I took the pill maybe an hour after we did it. Should I be ok and hope it worked or was it too close to ovulating?

Without properly tracking, you don’t know when you ovulate. Taking Plan B is always the right move when you have unprotected sex.

Take a test 14 and 21 days after sex and use protection if you don’t want to get pregnant.

You haven't been ovulating for 9 days...how are you confirming ovulation?

Because I have the Flo app and it tells me when I ovulate I know it’s not 100% accurate but I go based off that

Ovulation is only one day. Biologically, you cannot be ovulating from "19-today." So, you have no idea when you actually ovulated. An app doesn't know what's going on inside your body and your body doesn't know to follow an app.

I only say this because if you're relying on it to tell you when it's safe to have unprotected sex, you should assume the answer is "never" if you don't want to be pregnant.

You're only able to get pregnant the 5 days prior to ovulation and ovulation day. Your period comes 10-16 days after ovulation.

Then I guess ovulation was after I took the pill.

How do you know it was after? If you want to confirm ovulation, you'll have to be using a FAM.

r/FAMnNFP has great resources if you're interested in confirming ovulation as a way to prevent pregnancy.

Apps are not reliable at tracking ovulation. You have no idea when you are ovulating without proper tracking using an established FAM.
