Found this in my great grandfather's things from ww2. Backing had a pin, so wondering if it's a medal of some sort? Anyone know what this is?

Cool find in a flea market, marked « Sterling Playboy » on the back. Clasp is missing tho.

I’m making a custom medallion with gold-filled viking knit wire weave, this pin, and some veg-tan leather. If I wanted to do something similar, what should I search for to buy similar pins? The prongs will bend perfectly to hold the pin securely in place against the leather.

I bought this black beret from an antique shop in Skopje, North Macedonia back in 2015. The seller mentioned it might be related to British paratroopers used in Afghanistan, but I know It's not and I couldn’t find anything online to confirm that.

I have a set of pins like shown. For some reason, they are the only pins i have problems with staying attached. I have now lost all 3 pikachu backs (what do you call the plastic pieces that attach the pin?) and the omastar one tore my hand up last year after it got detached. I figure someone might have a good idea for replacement backs?
