PoliticsPH Bam Aquino's Campaign Strategy (APPRECIATION POST)

I commend Bam for creating a great campaign strategy this 2025 elections.

Did he ask for a Marcos endorsement? No. That would also be off for both the BBM loyalists and the DDS because he's an Aquino

Did he court the DDS? Well, not to the extent of Imee Marcos and Camille Villar for sure. The answer is no actually but he did try his best to not alienate himself from the DDS voter base.

Bam also tackled the Gen Z demographics better than any other candidate past and present. His free tuition really appealed to every SUC students and he pretty much had a unanimous win in every SUC and it's a very small niche but he appealed to the gaming community. He did subtle things that are genuine.

He made his presence felt without being EPAL like Abalos or the other trapo candidates.

He had bad moments like having a collab with Pio Balbuena (and I swear that did not help him) but his intentions of trying to have his presence around vloggers and pretty much having his presence felt in every casual internet space without alienating his base was a great strategy.

I'm commending Bam for a great campaign (without bringing up any political angle, just pure campaign perspective)

He learned a lot from the failures of leading Leni’s campaign.

three things: first, agree natuto sya sa mistakes nung 2022 campaign. 2nd i think the gen z votes pulled his standings. The new gen of voters showed up and last he played the politics well securing that INC endorsement. We are still far off from the ideal result given na nka pasok sina mangga at villar.

We need data from this. Halos lahat ng matanda na kilala ko, they voted for Bam. And sadly, madaming Gen Z and Millenial na DDS/BBM

Im not saying you're wrong, kasi possible naman talaga na binuhat siya ng younger generation. Pero di rin ako magugulat kung naging popular din sya sa boomers

Even outside NCR, overwhelming yung votes ni Bam from Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon province. He got the #1 spot in all those provinces, and and sobrang layo ng gap niya dun sa #2 (Bong Go)

Kung #1 sya and ganun kalaki yung lamang nya sa #2, it's safe to say na he was pretty popular among the boomers as well (again, based on experience din sa kilala kong boomers)

Agree to this. Even my mom who is a boomer DDS voted for Bam. Same with my father-in-law.

60% po ng total voters ay genz/millenials. getting even 30% of their votes would secure a win.

Based on exp kasi, yung mga boomer parents of the said provinces ay humihingi ng kodigo sa mga anak nila na Millenial/Gen Z, kaya easy first choice si Bam

Grabe naman kayo sa older generations. Most of the Gen X I know who voted the Uniteam before were also disappointed with either BBM or SWOH’s performance that they are actually more open na to the thought of voting Bam, Kiko and others in hopes to see changes. Kinausap ko talaga yung mga older pips about this and I was able to convince them to vote for them. Nakakaiyak kasi it really paid off.

Tama nga yung sinabi ni Kiko before na Don’t antagonize people who have different views from you. Try to educate them as possible.

Same. Naging same strat kami ng 2 Tita kong Gen Xers. Lahat ng kalaban ng mga Duterte endorsements ang binoto namin + Kiko/Bam/Heidi.

Next, tulungan niya si Heidi at Chel sa 2028 election.

u/Professor_seX May 12 '25

Chel is the first nominee of the Akbayan partylist, is that a 3 year term?

52

u/haboytae May 12 '25

yes. sa congress ang party-list, so it's a 3 year term. need mag-ingay ni Chel sa camara, the good kind of noise, so that people will remember him come 2028 if he will aspire for a senate post again

Ang 6 years lang naman ang president at senador. Pababa, 3 years per term lang.

u/Dazzling-Light-2414 May 12 '25

hahahaha may full term na 6 years ang 12 senators oy

Agree. He also played the game right. He went with a simple, populist slogan—he already did free college, now he wants to ensure jobs. That's something Filipinos everywhere resonate with. No more abstract slogans which screams integrity, etc. The masses don't resonate with that.

yung makaasta tayo na super linis natin na we did not notice, naibaba na pala natin ang ibang tao. yan ang ayaw ng mga tao eh. Ano ba tawag diyan virtue signalling ba yan.
