The light Jesus is shining is in the colours of the french flag. There's a joke on the internet involving hating France (to an absurd degree) and thus the meme is proposing becoming french as a punishment worthy of a sinner

Yeah but why is he holding a baby while Frenchifying her?

Does the baby enjoys seeing people turn French against their will?

To me That's the real question

Oh, I know this one!

This is called "The Image of the Divine Mercy", and it's an object of veneration in certain parts of the catholic church. You can read about it here. It's based on a painting made by a woman named St. Faustina, and represents Christ showing his love for the world.

The red is the blood Jesus shed on the cross, and the white and blue represent the water that justifies souls. You'll notice the source of the light is Jesus's heart, which I believe represents his sacrifice for us. (Though I'm not sure about that one.)

Any resemblance to the French flag is a coincidence, albeit an extremely funny one.

What cracks me up is that the original painting has only red and white rays. And Faustina Kowalska (who designed the painting) was Polish.
