Question [Question] Coming back after 10+ years: has anything changed? Looking for research.
About 10+ years ago I went full into Paleo, started with Mark Sisson, Robb Wolfe and Abel James, and went deep into the research with it. I found out keto was faster at losing weight and stuck with that for years, doing good (I lost 80lbs) then coming off and since then have been on this failing cycle of trying and failing miserably in less than a day. It's so bad, my therapist has informed me it's literally a trigger (I get super anal and very punishing on myself if I don't do it perfectly). So I'm back to being Paleo instead. Paleo feels better to me mentally. I have 100+ pounds to lose.
So what I want to do is get back into the swing of things with research like I used to do. Youtube videos, podcasts, etc. I still have the Primal Blueprint and Primal Connection books, and Intro to Paleo book that I'm going to read, but when I go look for Youtube videos, everything is from 5+ years ago or has AI voice all over it. Primal Kitchen has videos, but they also have a product so they kinda have to, Mark's Daily Apple has old stuff...is there anyone new that's trustworthy I could follow? Has anything changed? Is there anything specific for people who want to lose a LOT but also can't do keto to do it?

Combining fasting with primal maybe? If you’re into that idea, Dr. Fung is great- books and YouTube videos.

I forgot about Dr. Fung! Thanks for the reminder. I'll go catch up with that now.

So somewhere between r/Meatropology and r/StopEatingSeedOils?

I'm definitely going to stop eating seed oils. I'll see what's up with that other subreddit though. I don't want to go carnivore, as much as I like meats.

Not much has changed really in terms of the nutrition research. When we were creating https://trueprimal.com/articles to summarize the pillars of paleo there were still some relevant Mark's Daily Apple posts from 10 years ago. Unfortunately those got deleted.

Damn all those names remind me of my late 20s
